During the 90’s, nineteen year-old Lina moves in with her aunt and uncle in order to attend a university in Paris. She is alone and naive, with nothing but fear and her natural instinct for selfpreservation. She is looking for something she has never found in her home country of Lebanon: freedom. Arbid, who also directed Beirut Hotel shown in 2012, loosely based the story on her own experiences as a young filmmaker who came to Paris from Lebanon. Contains several brief sex scenes.
Preceded by an optional reception at 6:00 pm at the theater, featuring French and Lebanese cuisine (additional $28 admission includes wine compliments of Barton & Guestier).
