123rd Monon Bell Classic
DePauw Tigers vs. Wabash Little Giants

Monon Bell FAQ

Why did ticket prices increase to $25?

The College does not generate revenue from the Monon Bell Classic. In fact, cost to stage the game — seating, security, fencing, staffing, etc. — coupled with the cost to televise the game exceeds $100,000. The $5 increase gets us closer to the actual cost of staging the game.

Why are there two ticket prices, and what does the $45 ticket get me?

For 20 years, tickets for the Monon Bell Classic did not allow users to re-enter the game, e.g., fans could not leave and re-enter. We have discovered that many fans buy two tickets. Providing the $45 Super Ticket will allow fans to leave and re-enter once during halftime. Ultimately this helps us fine-tune our order for extra seating since a “Super Ticket” holder will need only one seat.

How do I get my ticket?

All ticket orders will be processed online at www.mononvillege.com . The College will have ticket scanners at each entry gate, so fans can either print their tickets and get them scanned or use a smart phone at the gate.

What about students, faculty, and staff? Will they have to purchase a ticket? How will “comps” be handled?

Ticket information for Wabash students, faculty, and staff will be provided in a specific communication via e-mail the week of October 24. Ticket details for “W” pass-holders will be posted on the College website the week of October 24.

Will I be able to tailgate in the normal area south of the stadium in the Jennison Street parking lots?

Plans for tailgating and parking near and around the stadium and campus are being finalized and are expected to be announced later this week. The main tailgating area will be part of “Monon Village”, a large area being designated for this purpose.

If I can’t park behind the stadium, where will I park?

There are a number of lots on the edges of campus, including the old Lew Wallace Motor Inn at Wilhoit and Pike; at the Nazarene Church on Walnut and Wabash; Trippet Hall; and the new lot south of the Residential Life District. Wabash will have parking lot shuttles running from those lots to the stadium entrance on game day.

What gate to I enter?

The normal Wabash entry gate will not be used. It will be replaced by a gate immediately east of that on the southeast corner of the main Wabash grandstand. DePauw fans will enter at the northeast corner of the stadium. Look for more details regarding access to the stadium in the days leading up to this year’s game.

Tickets are not available any more on Wabash Athletics. You may be able to buy tickets at the venue if available.
