NRP for Midwives with Merrily Taylor
1 day initial or refresher course specifically for out of hospital maternity providers. Certification exam must be purchased separately at the NRP website.
You do not need to be seeking recertification to participate in this course, you may attend just to learn, refresh and practice skills. The cost for the class is the same, the only price difference will be in paying for the online certification exam.
A boxed lunch will be provided. Please advise your workshop facilitator if you have food sensitivities.

Hello Students and welcome to NRP!
First things first. You will not flunk this class. You will leave confident that you can effectively perform a basic rescuscitation on newly born baby. Before you come to class you must read chapters 1,2,3,4 & 9 in the 6th Edition of the NRP book. If you are certifying/recertifying you must go to http://AAP.org/NRP and take the test online. After you click on the student or learner or test button you will be directed to the HealthStream website where you must first create an account and then purchase the test. They will give you directions to proceed to the test. You can study and test on one chapter at a tiime but must complete the entire test within 14 days.
The test date must be within 30 days of the skills workshop. Test on the chapters in order. If you fail a chapter you can retest on it once. If you fail it a second time you will be required to purchase another test PIN. Print the certificate of completion and bring it to class. Nursing babies IN ARMS are welcome.
