Barn Bash Events Reviews

     I am so excited to see to be able to attend this event. God has blessed my life with undoubtedly the greatest voice I’ve ever heard, David Phelps, except for my late husband, Monte Lee Saxton, who sang his way into my heart over 30 years ago, and sadly went to be with Heavenly Father after suffering through Stage 5 Kidney failure. I’m sure he would be here right beside me for this event, and I’m sure, in spirit, he will!

   I like so much I have the season passes

    Absolutely one of the best shows I’ve ever gone to. Looking forward to next year’s Mule Day Barn Bash.

   Beautiful small venue with the Phelps family touch! We enjoyed it immensely! Can’t wait to go back!

   This was our second concert at The Barn and it didn’t disappoint. Also loved the other groups (the Good Bellows & Down River Collective). Thanks for the great music and fun ambiance.

   Nothing David or Lori did wrong. Most of the attendants ( elderly folks ) were rude and made it difficult to enjoy the party. David was trapped at the steps of the pool and unable to just walk and socialize with the people there. I don’t want to ever be smothered by people that way. Hate that for you my friend. Did enjoy our brief conversation about your pool.

   The Poka band cracked me up and the other band but David singing somewhere absolutely beautiful and I really enjoyed some of the songs end of the line and im coming hm just. I'll be posting some beautiful and a few funny pictures of my experience, come to Jesus I wish he could've sang longer

     Enjoyed the performance as usual. I think David might want to think about turning the bass down a little. It was pounding to loud. I heard a lot of comments about the bass made there heart hurt. Sometimes the band outplayed the singers even David with his strong vocals. The other bands were also very entertaining. Love David Phelps

   Music was outstanding. . David to spot on all night. Loved the evening of music, worship, and fun.

   First time to attend a Barn event and thought venue added intimacy to overall experience. Enjoyed variety offered by back-up groups, too. We weren't interested in whatever "meal" was made available prior to the performance though would have eaten something less sugary from indoor concession had it been offered, i.e., a chicken croissant sandwich, etc. Your demographic is older and more prone to diabetic restrictions. Popcorn delightful though insufficient when "mea

     David was the star and he was wonderful as usual. We drove several hours to hear David so I was a little disappointed that we didn’t hear more. Of course, I could have sat there all night and listened to him. He is my favorite!! David seemed like maybe he was struggling a bit and I wondered if that is why we heard more of the other 2 bands. Loved the Good Bellows. Not so much a fan of the blue grass band. It was great to be there and to get to talk to David and Lori!!

  Always love the songs David does. Such a blessing to finally be at a Barn Bash.

   Could have done without German group. Music overpowered singers. Couldn’t make out words of some songs

   All the entertainment was phenomenal! Loved Good Bellows and hope to see them again soon. Always enjoy Downriver Collective and David was just the best as always. Everyone was so sweet and helpful. Thankful for all the volunteers.

   David and his band were top notch and what a blessing to listen to them sing. The ‘Worst Band Ever’ they were fun to watch and very entertaining. I am not into blue grass at all could have skipped that completely. My only disappointment is that we went to hear David and got more of the other groups.

   Loved, loved, loved it!!!

   I’m glad David took the time to make sure everyone got to take pictures with him. David and Lori are wonderful host. Since this was first time to pay extra to spend any time with David I was a little disappointed that he didn’t have time to sing. Maybe a little more time next year for the garden party.

       David and Lori were very gracious to host the garden party at their home. The food was excellent. The weather was beautiful. Getting to talk to DP and Lori and take pictures was special. Thank you David and Lori for your generosity-and for the gift.

   Loved it!! I have wanted to meet David & Lori in person for a long time. I have gone to about 8 different concerts. But this event was my favorite. More personal. I loved the strings as we ate. I will cherish my pictures with David & Lori. Food was amazing!! Alice

   Beautiful party! Everyone was so friendly! We met and chatted with David and Lori. Both so humble and welcoming to their home! The food was fantastic! They even had 3 violinists for beautiful background music.

   Wonderful to get to visit with David and Lori. Great food and atmosphere.

   I have to say it was so nice to see David and Lori and so many of my friends! The one thing I would do differently is to have the food where people in scooter's or wheelchairs could get to it but everything else was wonderful and it was so nice and cool well just beautiful Thank you so much for doing this

  The concert was amazing as always. I love how excited David always is when he gets to perform at his home. All of the members of his band are very talented and they do an amazing job. I've been a David Phelps phan since 2004 and have been blessed to see and hear him perform many, many times. He has an awesome God-given talent, He is the real deal!

   From the parking attendants to the last note everything was phenomenal. David and Lori were gracious hosts and the concert was beyond words. May God continue to bless David, Lori and their family as David continues blessing people with his ministry of word and song. Have a wonderful Christmas Season! God bless.

   David was off the charts as usual. It was nice to see Maggie Beth . She and Callie were fabulous. Everything was great. We felt that David may have been feeling a little rough but he truly did not show it. We have just seen him so many times. We were a little disappointed in all the new people but they were incredible also. I think this may have been one of the Best. Get some rest David. Thank you for always giving us a Christmas Blessing. We are the 50th Anniversar

   It was fabulous! I do wish we could have met him. I would love to have a picture made with him. We will be back. The rest of events we had tickets but could not come because of illness and death in our family. Hated to miss them.

   Loved it! So moving and such a reminder of the reason for the season!

 Best of the 2023 concerts. All musicians performed so wonderfully. The new artists fit right in.

 Such a great event! The music was absolutely amazing! David's voice could only be a gift from God. Great band, great song choice, I cannot say enough good things about the Christmas Barn Dash. I will definitely be back.

   It was incredible. Such a blessing! Please have a Sunday dare in 2024. Love hearing it twice and Friday has to be the travel day. Love to David.

   It was a Bucket List for my wife and I and it did not disappoint!!! Hope to come back again some day

   Excellent—we loved it!!

   If we can’t get into the barn during VIP time please provide warm shelter for those of us waiting. Other than that it was truly a magical evening! Loved it all! David is absolutely a brilliant singer and arranger!

   Another extraordinary night with the Phelps family and friends! We have already bought season passes to everything 2024!

   It was great and the music was beyond what I expected. It did get a little cool in the room during the concert (that was the only thing). The staff was fantastic, some of the nicest people you could ever meet!

     Additional lighting made it much easier to locate the entrance to the farm this year. Wonderful event

  We both get so excited knowing we are going to be at yet another Daivid Phelps concert. Can't wait till the next one!

   It was super fabulous. The fans, the food, the barn and everything. But most of all the concert by David and band and children was exceptional. Bought tickets for 2024!

   I have everyone of David’s cds. However, hearing him in person alongside his precious family was amazing!!

 The concert was very good, however, I was disappointed that we didn't get to actually meet David & Lori, I assumed since the gates opened at 4 they would wander amongst the attendees and do meet and greets and pictures. I was really disappointed that they didn't. Unfortunately we live so far away that attending every year is not something we will be able to do, but thank you for the memories, the hospitality and the great music.

   My first time and not disappointed. I enjoyed every minute. Thank you for a renewing weekend. Sylvia Ricker

   Always love the LDBB and any solo event where we can see David and his band sing! It's truly amazing and he is divinely gifted with his voice! Love everything about it! Thanks so much for having them! My cousin and I have been to all but 1 of the LDBB and will keep coming back as long as we can.

 Great time of music, fellowship, & food. Uplifting and moving. Such a blessing.

   GREAT performances from Vocal Spectrum and Barbershop Quartet and especially DP&band!! WONDERFUL 🤸🤸🤸🤸

       David Phelps has an incredible voice and connects well with the audience. The other two groups did a great job as well but there is no comparison to David. I would have just liked to hear more of him even if it included more talking or maybe a Q and A time. Please improve the bathroom situation. My portapotty had no light in it. Build bathrooms and offer a longer intermission if need be to get people through the line but the portapotties are hard to navigate

   The music was great!

     We had so much fun! and we made new friends just as we love to do. Down River Collective and Vocal Spectrum were also amazing! We heard Down River Collective last year of course and we were thrilled to get to enjoy them again. And I had no idea who Vocal Spectrum was so I looked them up and I simply cannot tell you how thrilled I was to learn they were barbershop. Have a life long joy with that kind of music.

   The music was phenomenal and the venue very laid back and fun!

   It was the first time I have been able to get pictures with David and Lori. The food was wonderful and your home is beautiful. Thank you for sharing that with us. You are so kind and gracious to your fans. See you next year!

  The Garden Party felt like a family gathering and the food was delicious. David and Lorie were very gracious hosts. We enjoyed meeting new people and hearing a song from David.

   This was the first Garden Party and I hope there are more! It was relaxing and fun! The food was amazing and the chance to see David & Lori in their native surroundings was awesome. They are perfect hosts! David & Dan gave us a beautiful song to remember.

   More tables/seating possibly. The stringed instruments added beautifully to the event!! Needed more space to allow for larger people at the tables/seating that had been provided.

    very well organized and hosted superbly. What a treat for the Phelps family to open their home to their fans. Blessings to you all.

   David and Lori were such gracious hosts. This is our first visit to the Pharm and we had a great time meeting new phriends and phamily!!

     And then depression set in.......We have to wait until Sept. 2023 for our next barn bash.....

   The Christmas Barn Bash was awesome! Just being at the Barn is exciting: being in such a large group of people who love the Lord and are touched by David’s music and his message! His performance was outstanding! I don’t know how he continues to improve each time I hear him. Callie, Maggie Beth and Kimberly were a perfect accompaniment and the band was right on point. Decorations and surroundings in the barn gave a warm feeling of the Christmas season. I loved every minute!

   Excellent - will be back next year!

      I would not recommend this event.

 Wonderfully well done...first time after 12 year dream of being there. David is incredibly warm and engaging in this first class performance experience.

   Loved our first visit to the Barn to hear David and all the musicians. Also enjoyed the ambiance. We are new residents to Columbia and this was a great first concert in the area.

     Great show! Gps took us to address about 5 miles from Barn! Maybe next time written directions could be put on tickets as well as street address, wry hard to find event in dark area.

   Of course second half was awesome!

   Phenomenal! A first timer from Oregon. And yes, we flew to TN just for this event. Worth every mile!

     Suggestions 1. Stagger chair rows to make it easier to see 2. Better monitor setup for people further back 3. Have men remove large hats. 4. Bass, at times, drowned out the singers

       The CBB was everything we expected and more. David, the backup singers, musicians, and choir were fantastic! The song selections were perfect! Loved the Phelps humor—an added bonus, rarely captured on YouTube and Gaither clips. We are sufficiently warped as well. What a way to round out the rainy evening—the amazing cow pie dodge to the car. Between juggling the flashlight, umbrella, and each other, it was a bit like advanced Twister! Great Phelpian memories.    I loved this event and so glad that I got to enjoy it. Everything was so festive. The only complaint I had was the portapottys. If possible I would suggest adding inside rest rooms,due to the weather situations. It was raining and there was no way to get to them without getting wet. They are terrible for handicap people. I know that there are a lot of elderly people that attend his event, and it would be nice if it were more handicap friendly. Only complaint I have.

   It was a magical evening. Met some wonderful people at the concert. As always David was amazing. His gift is directly from God.

     The event itself was incredible! This was our 2nd trip and we were excited to get to go back. There were 2 things we didn't remember from last year -- the monitors mounted above the seating and the lights that flashed across the audience. Neither of those were positive additions for us. Still planning to attend next year. It's the highlight of our Thanksgiving weekend.

     Just perfect, down to the last detail, everything was well organized. But above that, it was the presence of God that made it perfect.

   Only David’s singing could overcome porta potties and cow patties in the “parking lot.” It was fabulous! What a blessed way to kick off the Christmas season ❤️

     Friends now seem like Family.

     I was at CBB 2021 and CBB 2022 and they just keep getting better! Will be back next year!

   My second time at the barn. This time was just as amazing.What a wonderful blessing this was to me. As someone who sometimes needs a little push to get into the Christmas spirit, I'm now filled with plenty. David and everyone performed beautifully. Everything was just wonderful.

     I traveled from Florida to see this event and ended up sitting behind a pole! I had to watch most of the show with my head tilted and there were times I couldn't see him at all. The screens were constantly going on and off and were a flipped scene of what was happening on stage. Plus, I had to worry if I was blocking someone else's view. Gratefully someone in my group switched seats with me towards the end and I got a decent view for a bit.

 We traveled from Fargo ND to see the great David Phelps spending 3,000 dollars. We loved being in a small space and hearing him sing. 5 Stars for Phelps. The Barn experience and walking through manure was not impressive. Commit to a non manure experience. I also paid for in the circle tickets but the view was poor with all the pillars. Add some structure headers and remove some pillars to open the space would be appreciated. We loved loved loved the concert!

 The Christmas Barn Bash program was fabulous. This was my second year attending.This year l purchased VIP tickets really enjoyed personal time with David & Lori. My seats were on the third roll & while l appreciate & love all the music, it was just too loud at first. It seemed it was adjusted into the program but having a musical background music should accompany singers. At times you could not hear the violin or singers. Just think the music doesn't have to be that loud!

 Oh my, what a wonderful time! So great to praise our Saviour together. Can't wait to return. (I returned on 2023 for another glorious time with a friend.) Hurry up 2024!
