Barn Bash Events Reviews

   Hi! This trip was a dream come true for me. I loved it, and have one small suggestion...Do you think next time there could be a little more mingling time with Lori and David? I know there are some crazy people out there, but I think the type of audience that come to your events would do nothing untoward during their time there. All I wanted was a picture with David. That would have been the icing on my trip! Thank you.

       The event itself went well, minus the intermission which were too long, specifically on Saturday night. My main complaint is navigating website and ease of purchasing tickets. The color and background makes them difficult to see. This was also an issue in the email sent prior to the event. I could barely read the text. Also, there were no instructions it one on when the meal would be served. I even sent an email asking and received no response.

     An amazing event and love my purchases especially my signature mug

   The instrumental music was too loud at times over powering the vocals

   It was our first time attending the Labor Day Barn Bash. Drove down from Iowa and had a wonderful experience!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!!

   The recent 2021 event was wonderful.My family got there at 1:30 pm and found that the mid day festivities had been canceled and we did not get the word so we were disappointed with that and had find ways to spend the time. But David was stellar. I had the BBQ chicken for dinner and could not eat it as it was overcooked and very dry. The slaw and green beans were good so I didn’t go hungry! My family of 4 enjoyed the concert enough that we bought tickets for 2022.  

   Excellent!!

   I loved the new songs, the old songs, the barn (and the AC!), all the merch, and I love the fact that your daughters sing with you. I'm all about family and I love that aspect. I lost my husband 3 years ago, and David's music has been my ongoing comfort during the difficult times. Thank you and I pray for many more years of singing for you!

   I love David's music, but it is a bit too loud for my 83 year old ears! Excessive sound is really bad for the eardrums-and is leading to more and more people with hearing loss in their older years. Roger Jay

   Loved it! I have been to every Barn Bash ~ and it just keeps getting better ~ and so does David’s voice!! I love the family feel and how he loves and appreciates his plans!’ I bring my daughter, daughter-in-law, and 3 granddaughters every time they can come. It’s our favorite girl’s weekend of the year. Thanks, David & Lori!

   David has an incredible gift we never get tired of hearing him sing. Two nights of hits and there were still so many more we would like to hear! I hope to come back again some year, but my husband has Alzheimer's disease, he did pretty well but it was a lot for him so we'll probably stick to concerts closer to home. But I loved the atmosphere of the Barn!

   Chairs were uncomfortable for us wide bodied people.

   Everything was fabulous! David was superb as always! Loved Callie and Maggie Beth! Did miss Danny O though! Thank you for a wonderful experience! I already have my tickets for 2025!

  Excellent event. The music was great! Please record the song Desperado...that was beautifully song by David.

   David’s sings and son choice was the best ever. You could feel the anointing.  It worked better when you had one entrance for the handicapped and one for regular guests. We waited in line for 20 min before we got in on Sat. The rest was great.

   A very enjoyable experience. Very nice people. David Phelps and his band were amazing. The Down River Collective were awesome. The food was good. I did not know what time ticket holders could start entering and showed up early. The security agent was very apologetic that he couldn’t let me enter. The event organizers may want to provide that information. I’m planning my next trip already.

   There is nothing like worshipping at the Barn with the Phelps family! Can't wait till the next one!

     Enjoyed the performance as usual. I think David might want to think about turning the bass down a little. It was pounding to loud. I heard a lot of comments about the bass made there heart hurt. Sometimes the band outplayed the singers even David with his strong vocals. The other bands were also very entertaining. Love David Phelps

   Music was outstanding. . David to spot on all night. Loved the evening of music, worship, and fun.

   First time to attend a Barn event and thought venue added intimacy to overall experience. Enjoyed variety offered by back-up groups, too. We weren't interested in whatever "meal" was made available prior to the performance though would have eaten something less sugary from indoor concession had it been offered, i.e., a chicken croissant sandwich, etc. Your demographic is older and more prone to diabetic restrictions. Popcorn delightful though insufficient when "mea

     David was the star and he was wonderful as usual. We drove several hours to hear David so I was a little disappointed that we didn’t hear more. Of course, I could have sat there all night and listened to him. He is my favorite!! David seemed like maybe he was struggling a bit and I wondered if that is why we heard more of the other 2 bands. Loved the Good Bellows. Not so much a fan of the blue grass band. It was great to be there and to get to talk to David and Lori!!

  Always love the songs David does. Such a blessing to finally be at a Barn Bash.

   All the entertainment was phenomenal! Loved Good Bellows and hope to see them again soon. Always enjoy Downriver Collective and David was just the best as always. Everyone was so sweet and helpful. Thankful for all the volunteers.

     WOW! This was so wonderful! To be able to get together with other fans and then meet David & Lori. Just WOW!

   I’m glad David took the time to make sure everyone got to take pictures with him. David and Lori are wonderful host. Since this was first time to pay extra to spend any time with David I was a little disappointed that he didn’t have time to sing. Maybe a little more time next year for the garden party.

       David and Lori were very gracious to host the garden party at their home. The food was excellent. The weather was beautiful. Getting to talk to DP and Lori and take pictures was special. Thank you David and Lori for your generosity-and for the gift.

   Loved it!! I have wanted to meet David & Lori in person for a long time. I have gone to about 8 different concerts. But this event was my favorite. More personal. I loved the strings as we ate. I will cherish my pictures with David & Lori. Food was amazing!! Alice

   Beautiful party! Everyone was so friendly! We met and chatted with David and Lori. Both so humble and welcoming to their home! The food was fantastic! They even had 3 violinists for beautiful background music.

   Wonderful to get to visit with David and Lori. Great food and atmosphere.

   Quite a disappointment all-around. I’m not sure who reads these, so I’m more cautious what I’m saying. The food was mediocre, and the time was spent with people waiting in a line for a photo with David a Lori and that was it. My Self and my group were stunned, perhaps especially compared to the First Garden Party ….

   This was my first Christmas but it won't be my last Christmas trip to the farm. The concert was wonderful. &

  David Phelps is superb! Enjoyed 2 AL concerts and Barn Bash in the last few months. Will see many more. Constructive Christmas Barn Bash feedback to make a great event soar even higher: install interior bathrooms, restructure the poles that obstruct the stage view, tone down the instruments to better hear the choir and David's voice, eliminate the dancing angels during O'Holy night which took away from the stillness and the purity and beauty of David's voice.

   If we can’t get into the barn during VIP time please provide warm shelter for those of us waiting. Other than that it was truly a magical evening! Loved it all! David is absolutely a brilliant singer and arranger!

   Another extraordinary night with the Phelps family and friends! We have already bought season passes to everything 2024!

   It was great and the music was beyond what I expected. It did get a little cool in the room during the concert (that was the only thing). The staff was fantastic, some of the nicest people you could ever meet!

     Additional lighting made it much easier to locate the entrance to the farm this year. Wonderful event
