In Italian, the celebration of 100 year anniversary is called a "Centenario." This celebration of Giacomo Puccini is celebrating that it has been 100 years since his death. While Puccini-nario may be difficult to say, it is not difficult to see why BARN OPERA would join the world-wide celebration of this master of Italian opera. Known as being a man of the theatre, it is no wonder why such dramatic titles such as Tosca, La Boheme, Madama Butterfly, and Turandot would be written by him. However, while this celebration concert will of course have favorites such as Vissi D'Arte, Un. Bel Di Vedremo, and Nessun Dorma, there will be music from his lesser-known works like Edgar, Le Villi, Manon Lescaut and La Fanciulla del West. This concert will bring back BARN OPERA favorites, as well as introduce some new artists to the BARN audience, but all the artists will bring the passion and the drama of Puccini's musical genius to Brandon and the BARN OPERA House on September 20 & 21st, 2024. This is an event NOT to be missed!
