Ten year-old Oskar dreams of riding the American prairies with his mother, but right before summer vacation his mother tells him he has to stay behind on the farm with his bad-tempered grandfather while she goes to America. After Oskar, becomes acquainted with an older man named Levi and his short-sighted horse, the two hatch a plan to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a rowboat in order to find Oskar’s mother, with Levi’s horse as a passenger. Age 9-14 ($10)
