In its nearly 70-year history, the Little League World Series had never hosted a team from Africa. The Ugandan team’s coach hoped to change that. Filmed over three years, the film captures the team as they encounter truly unexpected ups and downs in their quest to make history.
Ugandan handicrafts will be for sale before and after the screening.
CANCELED! Speaker: Evan Petty, originally from Newburyport and now assistant coach for the Ugandan Little League team, as well as an English teacher at the school the players attend.
