Playing Dead
New England Premiere
directed by Jean-Paul Salomé
Belgium/France | 2013 | 104 min.
In French with English subtitles
A witty, Agatha Christie-style whodunit in which an out-of-work former movie celebrity (Belgian François Damiens, co-star with Audrey Tatou in Delicacy) is relegated to playing the dead victim in a tangled crime scene reenactment in the French Alps. The actor’s obsession for dramatic detail causes sparks to fly with the civil officer (the multi-talented Géraldine Nakache) investigating the real-life crime, potentially putting both their lives in danger.
Preceded by an optional fondue party at 6 PM (separation admission fee of $29/person).
