An exclusive screening of shortlisted new features by emerging film makers from CAPA College existing and upcoming students. This is the first of many Amplify Film Makers Festivals in our new art house cinema, as we promote the next generation of award winners to tell their stories, here in Yorkshire. Students will have had access to state-of-the-art equipment to realise their own work, which will be judged by BFI Best British Film Award winners Scott Elliott and Sid Sadowskyj. After the screening, Scott Elliott will be presenting the winner with prize money to be spent on a new piece of equipment that will enable the winner to take their film making practise to the next level.
Film Hub North have funded the first stage of programming for The Yorkshire Picture House, opening to the public in February 2023.
