We loved the whole experience! We had dinner next door, then wandered over and checked out the building a bit. Thought is was cool that there was so much creative activity happening in one space. The lobby was set up nicely and we added our funeral songs to the list and we went in.

It was great to have Katie welcome us all in personally onstage and AMAZING that she remembered everyone's names! Felt very comfortable right away and excited for the show. Loved the show! From the concept to passion and playfulness and energy by the performer. I sat in wonder the whole time realizing the giant effort it takes to create such a powerful and memorable, as well as intimate show. Changed my life, and made me think of how I can embrace the internet more in my life

Mack did a beautiful job of writing, preparing, staging and portraying her message! We loved the show and were very impressed with the originality, the technology, the timing, the humor/pathos and mostly, the heart of the performance. The energy never flagged but, Mack, you must have been exhausted by the end! You left it all on stage and the audience appreciated every minute. Congratulations! My son, Colby, is sure your show has a future, a very bright one. Big hugs!

How did you like the event?

Enlightens, tickles, and floods you with feelings. And that's just the first ten minutes! This is a brave show! It's a smartly-crafted act of desperation, a raging, splashing, deep dive into grief. Katie Mack jumps through the looking glass of the internet to commune with the dead, to recover her beloved and to find strength. It was like she summoned us to be there, and to be together, and it was a totally unforgettable evening.

Nov 04, 2023
by: Mary Anthamatten

How did you like the event?

Katie Mack is a force and will be a great performer someday but she needed some direction with the writing and presentation of this show, it was all over the place and her needing to remind everyone how it’s a safe space and that she’s really our friend and on and on was unnecessary. There was an audio recording of what was supposed to be a Korean woman but it sounded like a white girl doing an accent. Very out of touch.

#UGLYCRY is one of the most innovative shows I've ever seen. Katie Mack does a brilliant job of taking the audience through her personal grief journey while also holding space for the audience to grieve their own losses. How did you like the event?

#uglycry is a painfully honest look at the raw emotion of losing a loved one. Although Mack's relatable tale is told with bitter humor, her enthusiasm for storytelling captures the attention of the audience and speckles the venue with laughter. The set design is perfect, likewise for the sound engineering. With a twist, she uses cellphone technology and social media to effectively enhance her narrative. It's worth a good cry to remember you were/are not alone.

Hit on very important relationship dynamics between mothers & daughters as well as the difficult job of being a caregiver for aging parents, particularly when dementia & Alzheimers is involved and that shift in roles between parent & adult child.    The panel afterwards was very interesting, however it ran a little long and it was also hard to hear some of the individuals. Mics should have been passed. At the beginning of the panel audience members should have been told how long it was going to be so they could leave if they didn’t expect to sit for another 45 minutes.

Not My Revolution was a very moving and poignant play. SO well acted, performed and produced, lighting and set design excellent. The idea that violent political unrest and war affects everyone is an important message. That it can and does discriminate against any class and social standing is another layer of poignancy, and, I think, victimizes women in particular. The message that "it can happen to me, too" is palpable and something most of us don't think about en

A confronting, honest, brave and all at once intriging piece about subjects rarely spoken of. How did you like the event?

Ed Driscoll is hilarious. He has very funny read stories of a life in comedy that very few other comedians can talk about. I hope he comes back to the Carnegie Stage because I know he has a lot of other stories and I want to hear them all.

( have seen live comedy as part of an audience only once before and was curious about the event. I'm glad I attended Comedy on Strike but was only mildly entertained. Some of the comedians were better than others, but the skit with the emcee got stale fast.

How did you like the event?

Does not even deserve one star. Terrible, terrible. Not funny. Nobody was laughing. I was embarrassed for David and his crew. He's been around some of the best comedians in the country. How could he possibly think this was funny? We went because we've been to so many of his fundraiser shows over the years and were looking forward to something a little bit risque. Absolutely terrible David.

Nov 22, 2021
by: Lynne Haubelt

How did you like the event?

Timing was a little off for the actors who broke character. Also, the main character may want to use visuals of the family members he's referring to, to help him stay focused, and also carry the audience along. Some of the stories were too long (prison and memory book) and convoluted losing many audience members. The ball gag was random. Get a rotating Christmas tree light that goes with the theme (Yellow, green, red...) Good concept just needs further work to tighten it up

The growth she has had from her college dance courses and what she has learned this summer and during this week long intensive at FireWALL showed me how much she has grown as a dancer. The choreographers were able to teach Bella how to bring her PASSION to LIFE! Not only has she gained valuable learning that will help her reach her future goals, she has also gained friends.

How did you like the event?

This production is a triumph! I have seen (and performed in) many versions of A Christmas Carol, and this tells the story with a clarity and depth of character that I have not seen done in most versions! Mark Coffin does a yeomen's job with the abundance of characters he portrays - Excellent work and well-written script. I enjoyed it immensely, and would recommend it highly to others!!

Dec 26, 2020
by: Michael Farina

How did you like the event?

It takes a special kind of actor to keep an audience interested in a story when they are playing all the parts. Mark has an effortless way of transitioning from narrator to voicing all of the characters, that keeps the story moving but doesn’t let it get confusing or feel rushed. It’s great to watch an actor that is so good at his craft. Came for the redemption story. Stayed for the brilliant acting. Great job Mark Coffin!
