It's that time again folks! Another great show is on the calendar and I really hope you'll come! This time, I'm partnering with the incredible team at Callaway Vineyard & Winery to bring you a wonderful evening of both music and wine! Making quality anything takes a tremendous amount of effort and passsion. Just as a musician cultivates their talent; practicing, writing, and creating unique expressions of their soul -- a fine wine demands love from vine to grape to harvest to barrel. Both are labors of love and Callaway and I are thrilled to invite you to share in a night of art and frivolity. 😁❤️
The musicians performing are each tremendous performers and I am thrilled to showcase their talents. In order of performance:
Sophie Rae
Sophie Rae’s debut EP Waiting On A Sign was inspired by a craving for artistic freedom and expression. This four track EP showcases Sophie’s polished pop vocals, poignant lyrics, and classic rock undertones. A native of Temple City, California, Sophie is fortunate to be living near one of the nerve centers for music industry: Los Angeles. Sophie has spent many years of her career singing other people’s songs by working for various production companies and songwriters. Although these opportunities sharpened her skills as a musician, she grew tired of singing the same songs and felt trapped. Frustrated with the mundane routine of cover gigs, she turned her restlessness into thought-provoking & electrifying songs.
Jeff Brinkman
Singer-songwriter Jeff Brinkman’s music moves the soul, allowing space for listeners to find pieces of themselves. Originally from Iowa, Jeff headed West in search of his dreams, where he quickly gained regional notoriety and went on to tour nationally. Jeff performed as a semi-finalist on Season 3 of FOX’s The X Factor, and was featured in the top 10 for his age group. His performance of Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful” for the likes of Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland, and Paulina Rubio, who unanimously praised his raw vocal talent and moved him forward in the competition, went on to be viewed by millions around the world. Jeff's overall sound has been likened to that of Joe Cocker, Ben Harper, Bill Withers, Adam Duritz (Counting Crows), Ray LaMontagne and Amos Lee, to name a few. Danielle Taylor (me)
Danielle Taylor is an Adult Contemporary/Pop artist and has been described as a gifted singer/songwriter with a powerfully dynamic, warm, authentic voice. With a background in classical music and her heart rooted in pop tunes from talents like Sara Bareilles, Michael Jackson and classic writers like Carole King, Ms. Taylor found herself quickly drawn to the piano. Though she had no formal training, she taught herself the basics and jumped into LA's music scene with both feet. Her talent, drive and determination have afforded her many great opportunities including an exclusive mentorship with former SVP of Epic Records, Don Grierson as well as countless direct support slots for touring artists such as Ari Hest, Jonny Lang, Steve Tyrell, Leon Russell, Colby O'Donis, Marc Broussard, Marc Cohn, Wilson Phillips, Howie Day, Lisa Loeb, Striking Matches, Crystal Bowersox and many more. In 2015 her EP titled, 'The Chase' was released via SonyRED. The record was recorded and produced by Grammy Winner, Erich Talaba, received rave reviews, was signed to over 2 dozen licensing deals and was in heavy rotation on college radio across the US and Canada. In 2016 her first full length album, titled '1440' was self-released to a sold out show in the heart of LA. Reviews of the record compare Taylor’s vocals to both powerhouse vocalist, Adele, as well as the edgy pop artist, P!nk. The strength and range of her voice, her lyrical ingenuity and ever present pop sensibility are showcased effortlessly within this record. Taylor's songs can be heard on both SiriusXM Radio and iHeart Radio as well in the skies on JetBlue and United airlines. Her most recent video for the ballad, 'Is It Ok?' has over 630k views on Facebook and over 50k on YouTube. In the summer of 2017, her song, 'RSVP’ charted at #43 on the DRT's National HOT AC/POP chart and in early 2018, she was invited to NYC to interview with SiriusXM Radio and perform at iconic venues like the Bowery Electric and Rockwood Music Hall.
