July 16, 2017. It's 7:30 in the morning, sunny but very windy and cold. I'm standing at Uhuru Peak, the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa celebrating my friend Werner Berger's 80th birthday.
November 29th Werner will be at the Gayety Theatre for one night. Come spend a casual evening with a true adventurer and extreme High Altitude Climber. A short video and photos will open the night followed by Werner giving a talk about his experiences. Then a 15 minute intermission to mingle, enjoy some food plus cash bar.
Rounding the night off we'll just sit and chat when you'll have the chance to ask questions and share stories.
Werner Berger's the Guinness Book World record holder as "The Oldest Person to have successfully climbed the highest mountain on each of the seven continents (Messner-7)"
Tickets are $25 includes fees with a portion donated to "My Friends House" in Collingwood.
