 Did not enjoy the View from Madelines Couch this time. We found the music a bit boring and not familiar at all. Talented musicians though. Also the meal was very ordinary but service was good. Ridiculous prices for the drinks! Some people near us talked non stop all night which was very frustrating and spoiled the whole night. Not our best Jazz night after coming to many of them.

     Great nite ..Thanks so much hope island jazz organisers for the wonderful nite of jazz and all round fun you shared with everyone.. made it so delightful to attend .. looking forward to next month …

       Marketing was good, venue great, booking relatively easy, but I thought Louis Armstrong's name was mentioned but none of his songs were played

 Love the venue. Wonderful food and staff.

   Seating in front (2nd row) very tight which made it difficult to get served or go to use the bathroom. Therefore a safety issue would arise if there was an emergency of some kind

   Outstanding night. We had another couple there with us who were not jazz aficionados - and they loved it as well. Great work Ian in booking this act. THe stage was a squeeze for the 12 performers - but it was SO good.

     A wonderful intimate experience with jazz connoisseurs.👍

   Phenomenal performance- will definitely come again. Blue Water Grill had excellent customer service and the food/drinks were amazing! Maybe skip dessert though!

      Music was far too repetitive and simply not entertaining enough. The service at the venue was terrific, drinks & food were good & reasonably priced

   Good show but everyone talking spoiled the night for us completely. Not sure we will be back if it’s like this in future. Thanks anyway.

   Great show….something different.

   Very entertaining, passionate and talented group. Would be great if they explained prior to each song what it’s about. We did feel the “mood or passion” from the performers - there was a story being told. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

   Our first time watching Flamenco live and we loved it !!! Amazing dancer and musicians. My whole family enjoyed it. Highly recommend it.

   Fantastic night! I didn’t need to be in Spain to feel like Spain. Professional flamenco and music. Unreal! .

           Excellent What a night. We loved every little bit of the performance and the musical skills of all. Tell Martha her new flute sounded great. Ms Parrot on double bass and her terrific vocals..a bit of Doris Day, a switch to Ella Fitzgerald and Dionne Warwick...she certainly stamped her presence as did her final rendition...because she really is a 'WOMAN'. Steve on keyboard blew me away and what can I say about Paul on drums...let there be

   Highly enjoyable show. Such a variety of songs, well played. Beautiful vocals. The venue would benefit from a real piano, but the player was talented and a joy to hear.

   Good venue and the music was first class

 Loved it, fabulous musicians. The singer has a beautiful voice, so talented. 

     Adam was very entertaining.

   Enjoyed Mary's music and was looking forward to the 2nd half of her show - it was our 1st time there. Unfortunately, a woman collapsed and drew the attention away for an hour plus, so we left early.

   To steal a quote from Aldi - Mary was "good, different" she introduced each piece in her Irish brogue with a narrative about what triggered the lyrics and those her stories were very entertaining. Her strong voice was beautifully backed up by the excellent keyboard and double bass players. Sadly due to a medical incident in the audience there was a long interruption in the second half of her performance so we did not stay to see if she resumed. But still a great night. &#

   3 stars... the intimacy awesome... Mary just delightful as always.... just some announcements on what was going on would have been good.... thankfully I ignored staff advice and got a few more songs

   Loved Mary. She is fabulous.

   Good performer. We were very happy. Especially after the organisers and sound man increased the volume on Mary's mic in the second half. Instrumentals were clear and crisp. Band was tight. Excellent.

   Mary was great and would have liked to hear more of her repertoire, but the event was cut short.

   Loved our evening at Hope Island Jazz Club. An amazing night of music with the Shannon Marshall Soul Trio. Both as wonderful to listen to as to watch!

   Exquisite musicianship spoilt a little in the first session by some ignorant background chatter but that really didn't spoil the night. Your appeal to the audience for the second session really worked. We just need to get the bar and waiter staff on board now! As an ex-trumpet player, I am in awe of Roberto, but the lead guitarist was the technically brilliant star ( although his volume could have been a little higher to balance the rhythm guitarist.)

  The Gypsy Cats were brilliant! Food and service - brilliant. Downfall was what was mentioned above. It is a great venue and congratulations on doing what you are doing. Your passion is evident and it is so good to see venues do what you do. Feedback above is done as a way of suggesting improvements so there is no need to remind people to be 'behave' because they rivetted and entertained from the start.

   We like likevvmore up best jazz and more instruments best. Lovely venue however.

   My Friends and I had a fabulous time - WOW What a talent in the Ingrid James Quartet - We will be back - Great Music -Great Venue - Great Food & Great Company - What more could you want Thank You 💥🌈🍸💃🎼💥

   Classic jazz with some world class musicianship.

       Shame that the sound balance couldn't have been fixed before Jeff Usher performed. It was OK prior to him taking the stage. Also, while his piano playing was very good, his voice was not up to the same standard. His backing vocal was also weak. However, I understand she had been ill before the performance.

   A nice performance from Jeff and the band. The staff and food at the Blue Water Grill were excellent as usual.

   Sound system was very ordinary at the start / could not hear the main artist - drowned out by the band particularly the drummer

   Asabi and the band were fabulous

  Asabi was outstanding and very personable, the backing band were also great. The Blue Water Grill was packed but the busy staff were super - polite and friendly and we enjoyed the food and drinks.

   Asabi was fabulous, what a voice!

     Great to be able to see the students perform in a fabulous venue…thankyou so much for hosting!

     I took my partner who had never heard of the ndrew Sisters wow What great show moralise this please.

   What a fabulous night - how nice to see and enjoy great music - great staff too - took us back to all the great fun we had - wonderful to be enjoying again - how talented were the musicians 👏👏👏👏

   great show the jazz band was a little to loud and prevented any conversation

   The Girls were fabulous, music was great. The only thing negative is we were behind a great big collum right in our view which is a tad frustrating as you would like to view the show that is on!!

   Amanda and Madonna felt the venue was too crowded (especially in COVID times. But hey I thought it was great. Great food, well priced. GD of course was awesome. Well done. Loved the stage and curtains behind. 😉 Excellent 5/5
