Funhouse Comedy Club, returns to the Gladstone Theatre this May 24th with a great line-up of comedians.
Opening the night will be Canadian born Tanyalee Davis who has appeared on Live At The Apollo and The John Bishop Show, worked on “Austin Powers 3: Goldmember” movie teaser and also appeared in the film, “For the Love of Money”. Standing 3’ 6’’ small, she is known as ‘the little lady with a lot of BIG laughs', recounting tales of her views on people and how they see her, she has a persistence that makes it impossible not to laugh.
Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2017 going on to land himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.
Completing the line-up is Kevin Dewsbury a talented comedian and actor, who can be seen in the recently released film, ‘Destination Dewsbury’. His material is a variety of storytelling, observation and one- liners. He has the ability to mimic most accents, which adds profundity to his material. Although from Cheshire, he is often mistaken as being from Yorkshire due to his ridiculous northern accent. Kevin has toured the UK and has also been the support act for Michael McIntyre, Omid Djalili and Russell Howard.
Compere for the night will be Barry Dodds, winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards for the last 4 years, you're in for a treat as he captivates the crowd with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit.
