LUNAFEST, a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women, will happen at the Watkins College of Art, Nashville, TN on the evening of Thursday, September 27, 2018. This evening, the program of nine short films – filled with stories of reflection, hope and humor – will directly benefit the HerStory Cinephilia Society, a sponsored project of the Arts and Business Council of Nashville, a non-profit arts service organization. Celebrating the creativity of women in film, the HerStory Cinephilia Society, organized by filmmakers who happen to be women, features underrepresented emerging artists in monthly events to build a supportive film community that inspires, educates, break down stereotypes, and encourages bold expression free of sexism and discrimination beginning with a three-day film festival held November 16 – 18, 2018 in partnership with Watkins College of Art.  Cinephilia Circles, a monthly film screening club, launches January 13, 2018 at Watkins College of Art.
