The LATER Acting Company is delighted to announce their second production:  "Picasso at the Lapin Agile” written by comedic great Steve Martin. First produced by the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in 1996, this comedy won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best-Off Broadway Play.

"Picasso," The play: In 1904 Paris, Albert Einstein walks into a bar.

He is to meet a lady, but instead gets into a fight with Picasso about the roles of art, science, and inspiration in everyday life. Soon, the colorful characters who inhabit the bar join in the argument. They even inspire a visit from a show stealing blue suede-shoed rock-n-roller from the future. "Picasso" marks the directorial debut of Co-founder Lance Baldwin who previously starred in the rep's inaugural production of "Art."  Loyola alumni fill out the male roles.
