Based on one of the first made for television movies, 12 Angry Men, will be the first production of The Blakefield Players’ 2018-2019 season. Written by Reginald Rose and first produced live on CBS television on September 20, 1954, the play explores the tensions and drama of a jury’s deliberations in a capital murder case. Based on his own experience as a juror in a manslaughter case, Rose turned his scrípt into a screenplay for a 1957 movie and was later adapted for the stage by Sherman L. Sergel. Come to see the jurors wrestle with complex issues and conflicting personalities in 12 Angry Men on October 19, 20, 26, 27 at 7:00 PM and October 21 at 3:00.
