Providence Records presents...

Cormac Buckley & Special Guests @ Tivoli Backstage

After 11 months in the pipeline, Providence Records - Ireland's first and only record label exclusively supporting artists promoting the Christian message - is ready to launch.

Come along to Tivoli Backstage on Saturday 4 March to help celebrate the launch of Ireland's newest record label with Cormac Buckley, Roger Berkeley, and Pio & Anthony Hartnett. Great music, mighty craic, and a bit of God-praising is guaranteed!

Providence Records’ regional showcases are an opportunity to hear the best Christian artists in their local music scene! Operating in each province in Ireland, we aim to find talent in every corner of Ireland.

Artists have the opportunity to play for Christian fans, sell their music and merch, and get paid fairly. This is also an opportunity for those looking to be signed by the label to initiate the process.

Headline: Cormac Buckley

Over the past number of years Cormac has played and written a in variety of styles and genres. During 2016 combining his love for music and for his faith he has released ‘Once Step Closer’ an album of worship songs. Beautiful and energetic, it’s diverse record routed in prayer and a passion for good music. The album was launched in the Button Factory on November the 8th.

Support: Roger Berkeley

Since setting up a band of session musicians to bring his music to life in the studio and on the stage in June 2015, Roger's music career has gone from strength to strength.

Within three weeks of the release of Every Time, the music video (released in association with Women Hurt, tackling the issue of abortion regret) had been viewed more than 5,000 times and attracted media attention across three continents. The single continues to be popular, and the video has been viewed tens of thousands of times in 80 different countries.

Every Time will be followed in April 2017 by Going For Gold, a five-track EP based on the journey towards success

Opening: Pio & Anthony Hartnett

Since the New Year (2017), Pio and Anthony have been working on some original songs. Writing is driven by a certain conviction to use the gifts that God has given them, rather than to keep them buried or put aside only to be shared on occasions when it suits. The brothers are inspired by a Catholic understanding of the role of art in our lives, such as explored by popes over the last few decades. Pio and Anthony aim to further explore this with their music, which is a new venture for them.
