The San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre is a professional, not for profit arts organization dedicated towards building our community one musical at a time. SGVMT’s educational program, the Broadway Locker, aims to provide students ages 8-18 with a fun and complete musical theatre experience taught by professional staff from both Aveson and the San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre. Students will learn how to act, sing and dance over the course of rehearsing and performing in a Broadway style revue. The program culminates with a public showcase performance.
The acting portion of the workshop will guide students through fun, creative and confidence building theatre games and improv that focus on key elements of acting such as building a character, listening and reacting and working together as a team. The singing portion of the workshop will guide students through vocal warm-up exercises and move on to song as it pertains to the final showcase. The dance portion of the workshop will teach students basic musical theatre movement through dance warm-up and then integrate that training into the choreography of the show.

Media and Participation Release and Authorization: BY SUBMITTING THIS REGISTRATION FORM YOU AGREE: PARENT/STUDENT consent to have student participate in San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre's summer program Summer Stock for Students at the Aveson Global Leadership Academy and its facilities and agree to hold the San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre, Inc., Aveson Global Leadership Academy and all of their agents, contractors, volunteers, registrants, and employees harmless from any act of ordinary negligence, arising from any accident, injury, or damage whatsoever, however caused, to any person or persons, or the property of any person or persons, or corporations occurring during all times the student is participating in the program up to and including the time when the student is released into the responsible party’s care. San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre, Inc. reserves the right to withdraw any student from the program without refund due to misbehavior. Lastly, San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre, Inc. reserves the right to use photographs, video audio of the student taken during program hours for use in marketing collateral and promotion of San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre. I understand that these may be used in print publications, online publications, presentations, websites, and social media. I also understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.
