"Ordinary People" is a play, novel, and a film that explores the profound impact of grief and loss on a wealthy family in suburban Chicago, following the accidental death of their older son, Buck, and the subsequent suicide attempt of their younger son, Conrad. The story delves into the family's struggle to cope, their strained relationships, and the emotional turmoil of Conrad's therapy and his parents' attempts to reconnect.
