Based on the hit 1994 Disney movie and Broadway musical and adapted for young performers, Disney’s The Lion King, Jr. is the timeless tale of Simba, a young lion born to be king, who is forced to flee the Pride Lands after his uncle Scar kills his father Mufasa. Guided by Rafiki and new friends Timon and Pumbaa, Simba learns about identity, family, responsibility, and what he has to do in order to make things right for the Pride Lands. Featuring classic songs like “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata,” the entire family will enjoy the perfect theatrical spectacle that is The Lion King, Jr.  

Information on Accessible Seating and the Sensory Friendly Matinee on October 10

Limited accessible seating is available at all performances at each end of Row C.  These seats are marked as accessible on the seating chart.  A wheelchair may be placed in front of one of these seats, and a companion can sit behind. We ask that our other patrons keep these seats open for those who need them.

The matinee performance on October 10 will be Sensory-Friendly.

The typical live theater experience can be intense for young children, those with special needs, or who have never before attended live theatre.  A Sensory-Friendly performance provides a tolerant and supportive environment for those who cannot sit quietly through an entire show without moving or being a little loud. Changes include brighter auditorium lighting and softer music volume. House rules are also relaxed; guests are free to get up, move around, and leave whenever they need to. Family members can relax and experience The Lion King Jr. without worrying that others will complain or be disturbed by noise or movement.
