Dust off your vocal cords with this 6 week course, held in partnership with LPC.
In this practical course, singers will have the chance to learn about voice production, how to sing in harmony and how to use a vocal score. You will be supported by choir members as you learn and have the opportunity to sing with the main choir in fun programme of choral favourites and light music

Singing together is fun, a good workout for heart and lungs and a brilliant way to challenge yourself to master new skills.
2. I sang when I was in school 20 years ago, is this for me?
Yes, This course is open to anyone who fancies singing somewhere else other than the shower or car.
3. Don't you only sing classical music in the Phil?
On this course you will get the opportunity to try a variety of different styles, in the Phil we not only sing the standard choral repertoire, but our choir also takes in a range of musical styles - classical, contemporary, opera choruses, songs from the shows, and the course gives a taster of these.
4. I don't know what voice part I am
As part of the course our vocal coach will guide you towards a section that suits your voice.
5. What happens at the end of the course?
As part of the course our vocal coach will be introducing you to music that members of the Phil will be rehearsing for an event to be held in the summer. After the course has finished you will be able to join main rehearsals and carry of working towards performing at this event.
