"Talafaria Tales" is our Drop-In Game Series and we're celebrating all that's spooky with a TTRPG one shot using the DREAD system. Drop by for fun, one-off adventures outside of the Cottage Campaign "The Coven, The Crown, and The Compass"

Adventurers have been waiting for the beacons to be lit to the Tavern. Come and see all that has been crafted to bring the space to life, and be some of the first to embark on one of the unique quests that will send everyone at The Witch's Cottage into the open sandbox world that is Talafaria.

Night Shift

(using the DREAD TTRPG system)

It’s a dark cold night as you clock in for your shift at the 24hour diner, off the road of Route 66 in the Mojave Desert.

The night starts like any other… until people start going missing. Will you survive the Night Shift?

Using DREAD the TTRPG system: A joint-storytelling system that uses the classic "Jenga" tower as the engine for tension to fuel exciting and breath-catching moments.  No prior experience required!

To Play:
-purchase a seat at the table!

-An email will be sent to prior to game day providing a character sheet and a quick questionaire to aid your character creation!

-food and beverage are available for purchase during your game!! (please note that an autogratuity charge of 20% will be added to all food and beverage purchases, allowing us to provide top tier service during your game. Thank you for your cooperation!)

-you will be able to purchase cafe items upstairs as well! No need to worry about ordering coffee in line before your game, we can take care of you in the tavern!

At The Witch's Cottage, we have an in house container/code of conduct agreement that will be provided to you before your game session, and collected with signatures. Thank you for being a part of creating safe spaces!

With DM Teague:

Teague (she & he) is a bigender queer actor and writer. She has been playing and GMing TTRPGs for over a decade! While earning her MA in acting in the UK, Teague worked as a freelance punch-up writer for scripts and TTRPG game play outlines. (All while continuing her home games.) Upon his return to California Teague worked at an immersive tavern experience, Squirrelor’s Tavern, as a performer and writer. Outside of the Witch’s Cottage Teague currently is a writer and performer on monthly Sketch (Contraband) and Improv (Bigger in Real Life) shows at the Pack Theatre and HIT at Broadwater respectively.

As a DM Teague loves creating mysteries for her players to solve through creative use of the game's mechanics; while encouraging playful story driven role play. Having experience with DND, Dread, World of Darkness, Kids on Bikes and more, Teague believes TTRPGs are for everyone, and can’t wait to see you at the table!
