This is a 40 hour course required by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice to qualify for a Private Investigator or Security Guard License in Saskatchewan.
This course covers the following topics;
- The Private Investigators & Security Guards Act;
- Provincial Legislation;
- Duties and Responsibilities of a Security Guard;
- Professionalism and Public Relations;
- The Legal System and the Criminal Code;
- Access Control and Alarm Systems;
- Traffic Control;
- Note Taking, Reports and Evidence;
- Response to Immediate Crisis;
- General Patrol Tactics and Techniques;
- Labour Disputes; and
- Safety Issues for Security Guards
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be made eligible to be licensed and work for any security company of your choosing.
The course will be 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
