The performance includes:
Lost for Words – A duet exploring the lived experience of growing up deaf in Cambodia. Inspired by real-life stories, the piece traces moments of innocence, isolation, ingenuity, connection, and friendship—highlighting how technology has reshaped communication and opened new possibilities for expression.
Krama – A performance that explores Cambodian traditions, values, and beliefs through the Krama—a checked scarf that holds deep cultural significance. This versatile cloth is part of everyday life, used in cooking, clothing, childcare, markets, and even during times of conflict. The performance delves into the intertwined and conflicting narratives of a country and a culture, shaped by periods of change and challenge. It is a direct response to the powerful emotions evoked by Cambodia’s national symbol, the Krama.
