Jefferson McDonald returns to Franklin, Tennessee where he portrayed the legendary Jerry Lee Lewis at Studio Tenn in The Factory not once but TWICE in Million Dollar Quartet and Million Dollar Quartet Christmas. Now he’s got a hit show of his own and you do not want to miss this ROCKIN’ ROLLIN’ HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR. This baby is packed with enough of the old school classics and Christmas favorites, stand up comedy and mind-melting musicianship to blow the tinsel right off the tree.

McDonald has been seen on Netflix, Dr. Pimple Popper, The Comedy Store, The Malt Shop Cruise w/Paul Anka, and now he is bringing the fingers of Jerry Lee Lewis and the face of Shooter McGavin to the Williamson County Performing Arts Center on December 3rd (Shooter McGavin is his real life uncle, hence the resemblance). Dubbed “the Victor Borge of Rock and Roll,” Jefferson brings his signature wit and wild piano style to Franklin, Tennessee and he’s even got the critics raving “run, don’t walk” (Jonathan Charles Fox, The River Reporter) to see McDonald.

Jefferson McDonald is a comedian, actor, theater writer and musician from Romulus, NY. He was raised on the largest solely family operated organic farm in the northeast, managing a massive operation along with his other eight siblings who were all homeschooled. He was famously known as the “fastest chicken gutter in the world,” able to eviscerate poultry in a breathtaking 5.67 seconds. McDonald comes from a family of entertainers, including uncles Chris McDonald (“Shooter McGavin” in Happy Gilmore, Thelma and Louise) and Daniel McDonald (Tony nominated actor, Steel Pier). His close resemblance to his Uncle Chris has spawned his own golf fandom as “Shooter McGavin Jr.” Jefferson studied acting in Moscow and London and developed an impressive international stage career before building a rock and roll show that is currently touring. Critics have hailed Jefferson as “the Victor Borge of rock and roll” (Schmitty Adams) and a “man born inside the piano” (Chris Blisset). McDonald is a rising voice in stand up, currently touring with Steph Tolev, his fiancé and collaborator. He appears in her Netflix special, Filth Queen, for which he also composed the original music. You can listen to McDonald’s music on Spotify, Apple Music and everywhere else music is found. In the last year, McDonald has appeared at Just for Laughs in Montreal with Adam Ray’s Dr. Phil, The Comedy Store, The Belly Up Tavern, Hollywood Improv, Houston Improv, Dallas Punchline, The Laugh Shop (Calgary), The Comic’s Lounge (Melbourne), Tivoli (Brisbane), The Factory Theatre (Sydney), Heather McMahan’s Comedy Cruise, Malt Shop Memories Cruise w/Paul Anka and The Jacksons, Studio Tenn, Tampa Funny Bone, Shadowland Stages, Cohoes Music Hall, Portland Helium, Olsen Run, Bend Comedy Festival and more!

Classically trained in both music and acting, Jefferson studied in Moscow (MXAT) and London and holds degrees in acting from Ithaca College (BA in Drama) and the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training (MFA in Acting). McDonald has garnered rave reviews for his performances as Jerry Lee Lewis, with critics describing it as “an unparalleled performance that defies description” (BroadwayWorld) and “one of the most shockingly brilliant performances I’ve seen anywhere by anyone” (The Frenetic Peripatetic).

Joining the Great Balls of Fire Orchestra is McDonald’s frequent collaborator and incredible actor-musician, Armando Gutierrez. Armando has toured with Jefferson across the country and has been a major contributor on both of Jefferson’s studio albums, ‘Memphis’ and ‘Man Of The Road’. As an actor, Armando recently starred in the world premiere of RUN, BAMBI, RUN, written by Violent Femmes front man Gordan Gano and also appeared in the smash hit Grateful Dead musical Off-Broadway, RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD.
