Battle River Big Band returns to the Manluk Theatre stage, bringing favorites from the ‘30’s, ‘40’s and a few lingering goldies on either side. Get ready to groove in your seats to an evening of big band tunes from Benny Goodman to Duke Ellington and more!
Battle River Big Band is comprised of 19 members; musicians from the Camrose-Wetaskiwin area who have a passion for creating the big band sound in our music-rich communities!
Artistic Director, Dennis Rusinak, gave this group its beginnings in 2015, and it continues to perform to young and old audiences alike! From Remembrance Day shows to Henry Mancini and James Bond movie themes, there’s something for everyone in our shows. We are excited to be performing at the Manluk Theatre October 12, 2019 and look forward to seeing you there!
