Drug abuse is never a joke. Four years ago, my life was changed forever when my dear friend passed away from an overdose. And losing a loved one to addiction is never easy.
Drug abuse is a national epidemic, but to those personally affected, it’s a nightmare.
Losing Mike to heroin allowed me to realize that I am not alone. And although it crushed me, the experience also motivated me to do more.
My foundation, You're a S.T.A.R., fundraises to support drug prevention services including counseling, educational workshops, after school activities, self-exploration, community support, and other services.
