While touring through Europe this winter, the band got to talking about new projects for 2018. We think we’ve found a winner.
On Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday June 24th, 2018, Tyketto will pitch our tent at The Muni Arts Centre in Pontypridd, Wales for a very special event. For two nights we are going to perform songs that span our entire career, but with a different twist on each like you've never heard before. Ever wonder what your favorite Tyke tune would sound like with a full horn section? How about a string ensemble? Three female backing vocalists? Perhaps a few of our rockers toned down and a few of our mellow songs beefed up? To quote STRANGER THINGS…. we're going to take you to the “Upside Down” this summer. You are officially and cordially invited to attend, “An evening with Tyketto”.
Here's how it will work; We found a beautiful live venue and will be recording the entire event for a CD/DVD release later this year. Not only are you invited to attend the taping, but each night’s show will end with a full buffet dinner for the band and all of our fans to enjoy together.
Our good friends (and guest backing vocalists) in Kane'd will kick off each night with a live acoustic opening set, and then Tyketto will take the stage with a collection of various musicians and special guests, including a finale with all fifteen of us onstage together.
The band will be mixing up the set each night, and the final CD/DVD will feature bonus performances, interviews and extras from rehearsals that will be filmed before the show days. This is a 100% live filming, and a unique opportunity to “pull back the curtain” on how a performance DVD of this nature is produced. We may need to break for technical fixes or perform a song more than once, but we promise this to be the most exclusive and memorable concert we’ve ever performed.
Your nightly ticket includes the live acoustic set from Kane'd, (2) ninety minute live Tyketto sets, dinner with the band, and a copy of the CD/DVD upon its release later this year. We are offering both a per night ticket price as well as a full weekend pass.
