Christmas at the Tree Farm Reviews

  We wanted out 21 month old granddaughter to experience a Christmas light hayride. We loved it and she was excited watching all of the different sights along the ride. When we went through Christmas Town we enjoyed seeing her enjoy the maze, playing on the swings, and playing in and on the wooden Christmas scenes.

 This year there seemed to be lots of lights that were out and deflated inflatables. In the past, you were able to drive through twice but it was not allowed this year. It was also confusing if you could make the half loop near the lake. It took us about 10 minutes to drive through. We understand the need to add something "new" each year, but hopefully it doesn't become another overpriced "Santa's Wonderland."

  Bought tickets for 11 people for the hayride, and didn’t find out until we get there that they had canceled it. Said they had sent an email, but we never received one. The man that open the gate, and appeared to run the place, was Scrooge himself! When I asked about getting a refund, he said that they would not refund us, although we did not know that they had canceled it. He then stated, I’ll just lock the gates and take you on your own personal hayride. He was VERY RUDE!

   I guess I was under the assumption that there would be more of a "Santa photo set up" and photographs

 While the lights were lovely, I was disappointed to discover that guests are no longer allowed to stop for hot chocolate/snacks or sit by the fire pits/walk around like in years past…without paying an additional fee. We don’t like our area’s bigger Christmas experience because it is too crowded, is too commercialized, and costs too much money - they nickel and dime visitors at every turn.    Wonderful event!

   At the craft area there should have been a hand washing station for the kids to wash their hands immediately after instead of having to walk over to the porta potties. Also, it would have been nice to have water bowls for the kids to rinse their brushes instead of having to combine all colors together.

   It was a delightful full moon night to enjoy the hat ride. We could see the lights, stars, and other displays. Also got to make memories by crafting our own Christmas ornaments. Followed up by a warm fire and general store. Thks for the warm Texas hospitality. Great price. We will come back next year with more family members. GJP

   The lights were very lovely! The person running the place, was horrible! With the service that he provided, he won’t be in business very long! He needs to go take some training on customer service.

   Really neat, some of the decorations we out but, the experience is really cool. Love the fact they have a display of the reason for Christmas Jesus Christ

   The lights were ok, I had to ask someone where all the vendors were. The doors were closed

   The event was disappointing a lot of the lights were out. And also not allowing non hay riders to stop at the general store was disappointing.

   A lighted parking lot would be nice as well as a paved path to Christmas town. We hit some mud on the dark walk over.

 Overall my 3 year old had fun, but it was expWa I’ve for what we got. I can’t imagine kids much older enjoyed themselves. I would add more activities for adults and older kids. We liked the bounce house, pumpkin painting, face painting, hay ride, and train, but that was really all there was to do other than yard games. The maze was too short.

     I love the idea of the fall festival event however, I was super bummed there were no pumpkins. My expectation was a pumpkin patch so I could take fall pictures of my baby and perhaps purchase a few to take home and carve. The rocks in the front were hard to walk on and push the stroller through.

   Personally I think the lights were way better here than at Santa’s Wonderland…less flashy etc but I LOVED the trees/orchards practically covered in lights; to me it made it feel more “Christmas-y” and less commercial. Hayride was fun & actually wasn’t too cold considering the temp outside. I do feel the website was a little misleading for “Christmas Town” as there wasn’t really anything to do. So it was really just an expensive hayride

   In 2022, we enjoyed the tree farm, but there was less to do.

   I loved that y’all had a day for special needs guest.❤️ Even though they got a discount is was still pricey for the rest of the family for the hayride. It would of been nice to have some sort of discount for the siblings and parents.

     Several of the figures were not lit up. Overall it was wonderful!

  The ticket was for only one hayride, we should have been able to go around again, especially when they werent busy and there wasnt really anyone else there. Disappointed we didnt get to walk around santas town and the part where we had to have wristbans even when we clearly had the tickets shown on our phone was a bit much. There wasnt much to do for the kids but they did enjoy the maze.

   The Hayride was totally worth it, I feel like it was very beautiful and a step above what a car ride could have offered, however, I didn’t see the Model-T were the popcorn, hot chocolate, and candy was. Of course the weather is unpredictable but I just feel like the money that I spent could have offered and better available to enjoy verses having to purchase those items from the concession stands, was deceived by making you think it would be included vs having to pay for .
