Shawn Mullins rose to fame with his 1998 breakthrough Soul’s Core, featuring the Grammy-nominated No. 1 hit “Lullaby.” He followed with the AAA/Americana chart-topper “Beautiful Wreck” from 9th Ward Pickin’ Parlor and “Shimmer,” which was featured in Dawson’s Creek and promoted the 2000 Sydney Olympics. His song “All in My Head” appeared in the debut episode of Scrubs, and he co-wrote the Zac Brown Band’s No. 1 country hit “Toes.” In 2002, Mullins formed the supergroup The Thorns with Matthew Sweet and Pete Droge, releasing the acclaimed track “No Blue Sky.” To mark the 20th anniversary of Soul’s Core, he released Soul’s Core Revival—two reimagined albums: one stripped-down solo and one full-band re-recording with Soul Carnival. With a career defined by heartfelt songwriting and genre-blending artistry, Mullins continues to captivate fans worldwide.
