First Drams 'Live at Lily's is a new event where up and coming authors and poets have the opportunity to present their work to a live audience. Our storytellers are a mixture of local people from a variety of backgrounds, identities and ideologies. First Drams will be night of extraordinary stories and poems that delight, entertain, educate, that will make you laugh, and cry and who knows maybe inspire hope. Our writers may inspire with a short story or poem or perhaps the opening chapter of their first novel. It could be a piece of flash fiction that intrigues the listener but, on the night, you will have the unique opportunity to listen to a wide selection of literary styles and genres told in the authors unique style.
The one thing all writers have in common is at some point in their lives they wrote their first piece of prose or poetry which started them on their literary journeys. No doubt the first drafts were shared amongst family and friends and at some point, performed to a wider audience. First Drams ethos is to provide a platform to help launch new and emerging talents providing that first vital step that allows them to to their sories one sip at a time .
