Fluid Dance Conventions Inc Reviews

Fluid is our home away from home. It's our favorite dance event of the season. The staff is kind, respectful and the educators see every dancer in the room and challenge all levels!

 The most amazing experience!

The judging appears overly weighted toward artistry and personal preference rather than technical execution. Dancers with obvious technical flaws are often rewarded but advanced skills are undervalued. Also comments dismissing college dance team goals are disappointing and unprofessional. Those opportunities are legitimate and fund their education/career. Frequent vocal admiration of certain dancers raises legitimate concerns about objective evaluations.

We really like everything about the convention classes and amazing competition judge feedback. It’s a supportive, welcoming, and educational environment. We preferred the hotel last year as it was much more affordable than the Grand Hyatt, and had more interesting character/atmosphere.

The convention classes have been amazing!

My daughter and I love coming to Fluid every year!!

I did not like the 3 teired seating. Paying so much money to stand in the back to watch my daughter dance, when we already paid so much to attend the convention seemed like overkill. We couldn't see anything and standing for hours is not enjoyable We will definitely skip convention tickets next time and simply watch from the lobby. The green cocktail was also not tastey.

It was a beautiful event full of fun, great company and great dancing!

The event itself was great! The ticket price was unreasonable, and

Beautiful set up and the whole night was ran so smoothly

Charging $80 as a minimum to stand is absurd. It wasn’t an elevated experience—it was revenue-driven.Attendance reflected that.Siblings and studio mates missed the chance to support their peers and see graduating seniors perform one last time.Eliminate the Sunday Showcase.Finals already determine the winners.Repeating routines forces families into another hotel night, added travel costs, and another missed day of work.End the event after finals so families get home.

The seats were empty and we were standing for 4 hours looking at the empty seat. We spent so much money to come to nationals and our girls made it to the gala so we should have got our seats. They overpriced everything. The seats were so expensive so no one purchased the so they were empty. The drinks were $20

As feedback we’d rather have had a choice of soft drink in lieu of the signature cocktail. The kids didn’t like it, and the adults preferred to choose their own alcoholic beverage. The food was good and allergy friendly. The feedback from the table was to be able to know menu in advance or have the option to choose an entree, and have water and coffee service to the table to the end of the event.

The gala was great! My daughter was so happy to get to perform her solo. I only wish it wasn't quite so late.

It was too long, the dancers were exhausted and still have a day of convention classes after. Recommendation: Pull solos out and give the award during the actual competition. The prices were exorbitant. Many from our studio would have bought dinner tickets but opted not to once pricing was released. Standing for 4 hours in gala attire is not enjoyable- this isn’t a baseball game. Make it affordable and you would have had a much stronger (and less exhausted) turnout.

I sent my daughters (15,19) and they were in the standing room section. Almost immediately two adults began bullying them to try and get them to leave (they had pretty good spots, I guess). The woman took one of the tall tables and pushed it right up into their backs in an attempt to get them to move. I don’t love the set up for the gala this year. I understand changing things up, trying new things, but it wasn’t the best experience for the girls.

 Loved it!

Seeing my dancers on stage is always amazing, but I won't spend the money on tickets for the gala again.
