The first part of the performance was ok, but the second part was a major change. The singer, backed by the piano, offered some real spontaneity and allowed both performers to make the show their own. Nearly every musical performance must perform the music of others if they don't write their own. Even Adele performs the work of others, which is her personal tribute to their music. The difference is found in the personal interpretation that is made by the performer.
