     GREAT

   The venue is intimate and familiar. Tickets were easy to book. Both senior actors were warm and believable. Sandy Lucas (Winnie) was by far my favourite character in the ensemble. Her expressions of glee while other actors quarreled were so entertaining! You could see her eyes sparkle from the middle rows. It was easy to relax into her performance.

   Excellent play. The 2 main characters inhabited their roles perfectly. Very funny and very moving

   My mother and I came to see Sandy Lucas… She did a wonderful job, in spite of her clear pain on Thursday night, it did seem to fit in the play. I thought the play itself was a bit weak and overly long. I found the pace a bit draggy… it could easily have had 15 minutes edited from each act and this could have been accomplished with taking out scenes such as the 3 minutes spent fussing with filming equipment at the beginning of act two.

   The intimate performance space was utilized beautifully by the performers. The harmonies were beautiful and the soloists were excellent. I enjoyed it the live band. The performance was soulful including meaningful narrative from each of the performers. Cudos to the musical director and choreographer.
