The Spire Reviews

Our first experience with the Shire Theater was a bit mixed. We were initially confused by the entrance, having been directed by GPS to 3rd Street. We saw banners and a sign for the musical, but only encountered a worn door entry that lead us by way of the tech table and the rear of the venue. A sign on those doors directing us to the 4th Street entrance would have been appreciated. Once inside, we were intrigued by the space - although it was a bit on the chilly side

this was another great play produced by the spire theater. the women who played nana was amazing!! the last song of the show had me in tears.

Do not want my review published.

awesome job. I enjoyed watching my granddaughter in it

A bit more directional signage would be helpful for people who don't know their way into and around The Spire.

My only concern was the $30 dollar service charge on my 5 tickets

please add another bathroom or two!

Wish an easier way to enter.

 My experience was legendary!!

 All was great, good experience

Great venue, unique, beautiful, and great acoustics! Definitely will return for other events.

Loved the show. Big sound. Quaint venue.

It was a lot of fun. Something different. The only thing I would suggest is to turn the narrating base down a little bit or the volume.

 Theater was great.

This was our first time at The Spire. Upon entering the building (knowing it was very old) it was a little unnerving especially at night without proper lighting with broken walkways and steps. Yes, the age is showing and there a musty smell but the hospitality and the show made for a great time!

I hope my remarks about this show are constructive because I really appreciate the effort of writing a musical, as I have done so myself. To begin with, I enjoyed the set pieces and musical arrangements, despite the overture being needlessly long. For comm. actors, I found the acting and singing serviceable, but couldn't understand the need for the narrator to deliver the lines of the onstage actors prior to their own delivery. Overall pace suffered because of this, imo.

Strong characters full of heart and passion!

 Excellent!

Characters are very in sync. Relationships have a natural believable feel.

The Musical was absolutely AMAZING. I LOVED it! Great job from everyone.

The variety in casting was fantastic, & costumes, music, choreography, humor, story is bold, infused with spirit, unique & fun. Loved the transition of the main character's style & presence. The solos were especially engaging & energetic. The singing was awesome some may have needed to engage their core a bit more to belt it out & the mics might have needed an upgrade to hear a bit better. the fog may have been a bit difficult to breathe.

I love and appreciate all the 90s references!

So much HEART! Characters are strong!

Such a great story! Very relatable and brings me to tears over and over....good tears!
