Local dancers, musicians and DJs will take centre stage at the Lester Centre on Friday, May 13 to raise funds to help Ukrainian war refugees coming to Prince Rupert. The funds will be used for airfares, food and other expenses until the new Rupertites can become self-sufficient. Four families are already on their way, with more to come. The fundraising goal is $50,000.
The two-hour Benefit Concert will feature music and dance, by youth and adults and, after a brief intermission, the second portion of the evening will start with Local DJs hitting their turntables as part of the Valhalla Fest RoadShow.
Entry will be by donation, and there will also be opportunities for donations through auctions and raffles, so please bring cash!
