At Expressions Dance Theatre, community has always been at the heart of what we do. From our earliest days performing at Dance for Heart in the Florence Mall, our dancers have been proud to use their passion and talent to give back. Over the years, we’ve continued to create opportunities for our students to connect, contribute, and uplift those around them—one performance at a time.
On September 6th, we are honored to continue that legacy as an official Hope Studio with Dancers Against Cancer. We’re thrilled to host Light Up the Night, a special 18+ Silent Disco event dedicated to raising awareness and funds during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Guests will enjoy an evening of music, light bites, and local vendors as we come together to support those affected by pediatric cancer. This evening is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of strength, unity, and hope.
Dancers Against Cancer (DAC) is a national organization that offers financial support to dance families, studio owners, and educators impacted by cancer. Their mission is simple and powerful: no dancer should face cancer alone. Through donations, grants, and community events, DAC has helped countless members of the dance world face their battles with courage and support.
We are proud to stand with DAC and the incredible work they do. Together, we dance for a cure, for comfort, and for every family touched by pediatric cancer. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us.
Let’s light up the night—with love, purpose, and hope.
