Moruya Red Door Theatre Reviews

Well organised and good seating layout.

What a great experience. Lovely community.

It was fabulous loved the table set up and both acts were fabulous😀

A show full of double entendre. It brightened up an otherwise dull day. It is not often one heads home feeling so good. Having the tables was a good idea. But ours 14 was far enough away to challenge hearing impaired people like me - so I missed some of the double entendre.

Well organised. Love that nibbles and drinks available from the start. All the cast performed well.

Right from the start, friendly and easy ticket purchase. A great welcome at the door and a friendly crowd.

A professional cast and excellent scripts.

Very easy to get a ticket online. Friendly greeting at the door. Great seating with a good view of the stage. Good parking. Good value for money. I did not expect there to be a door prize - an added bonus of tickets to the next show - I may be lucky next time.

I just loved this performance! Well done everyone. I can see there was so much work that went on behind the scenes to make this so wonderful.

 Love it!

Not too hot and seats well placed, so most people could see (I moved over a couple of seats as I’m not as tall as some people.

 Enjoyable show

From purchasing the tickets (thanks Liz and your friend for helping) to the meet and greet ladies at the front door everyone have been so lovely and helpful.

A very enjoyable play and performance!

Could play anywhere in Australia. Outstanding script

Unless an accent is required for the role, please use your own voices. Otherwise it sounds like a parody or simply bizarre and hard to understand. The lead actor in the first play had his lines down very well.

Well written. Poignant. Well produced. Highlights were The Waiting Room - the snotty guy (I was near retching!) and the tourettes guy - excellent performances. Thank you.

Very entertaining, loved the drs surgery scene particularly

I like live-theatre, but don't see enough living Regional. This production was professionally acted and put together. I thought it was a great night out and excellent value for money. Thank you all.

 Wonderful evening

 Good acting and good dialogue

Fabulous performance by all the players, although Anthony is always Anthony playing a part. Maybe he could be a bit more natural and not as “dramatic” when delivering his lines? The doctor’s office scene was just brilliant!

Great event! Love the table and BYO options for patrons. Interesting plays. Excellent local community production.

Love the table seating, being able to sit with friends and have a nibble and a drink while watching the show. Hilarious play, fabulous actors learning all those lines. Thoroughly recommend seeing Red Door Theatre productions.

Well done by the entire cast and crew. Farce is always a challenge and to pull it off requires skill and practice. You did it.

Great costumes and set, enthusiastic cast. Maybe for future productions or like plays could edit for length and update script to be less offensive to LGBTQI community, and the Smyth sisters roles were too dated. Otherwise well done, really thought Phillip was very convincing.

While we were very impressed with the skill and hard work of the cast and crew we didn’t like the play itself, very dated humour.

We had a great time 😊

It is always great to see performers enjoying what they are doing I like to be at every event. The community involvement is a big factor.

Absolutely loved the performance, thank you. Congratulations to the cast. Their timing was excellent.

Loved the show. Lots of belly laughs. Great cast and wonderful costumes too.

It was thoroughly enjoyable and fun. Very well performed. The stage dynamics and the characterisation was excellent. The scripts they all learned, especially Phillip, were remarkable. Congratulations to all participants

Some good laughs, even if some of the play (dating from the 1970s) would have been missed by younger audience members .

 The show was excellent

 Went to the matinee

 Well done all

 Loved every minute of it

Both plays entertaining and thought provoking.

Loved the little interlude with cheese and sippers!! Unexpected but enjoyable in the beautiful evening air

Was very good. I enjoyed it thoroughly

Fabulous performances and very entertaining, looking forward to the next one 😀

I was sure about the first play but the second was full of fun.

Good fun. Hilarious at times. Thank you to all involved. 🙏

 can't say I was there

Liked the play, didn’t like the fact that a real cigarette was lit and smoked when a fake one would have had the same effect.

was great ! bit hot on friday night, not sure if the venue has A/C - maybe open the side emergency doors get a bit of a breeze thru?

Very witty funny and a great evening of entertainment

An excellent performance done by talented actors, particularly Luke as Leo. The actor played to the set perfectly, and was engaging for the entire performance.

The acting was amazing for a local amateur production, they were all very skilled. I really enjoyed the show which was my first red door production and would like to make it a regular event with my friends.

Fantastic -Absolutely spectacular - well done every one involved in the production 👏👌🌟🌟

 Totall enjoyment

Loved it. Well done! Will definitely be there for the next one. Have recommended the show to several friends.

own. Plus enjoyed the show, my partner was particularly impressed by the management of the production, the moves and timings, the bookings etc. He is involved in Canberra Rep behind the scenes box office stuff.

 It was a great night

16 of us went and we all enjoyed it enormously.Absolutely fantastic! Sets and costuming so professional. A big shout out to James, and to the rest of the company for helping him reach his potential.

 Well done it was fantastic

Exceptional performance. Lots of great laugh. Actors were fantastic. Thank you.

Hilarious with just the right edge of quirky! Loved it, well done to all involved!

Excellent show. Lots of belly laughs. Cast & production were wonderful! Thank you.

I enjoyed it very much. It was very funny and the characterisation that the actors presented was excellent.

As an amateur production we thought it was good fun and we enjoyed it

"A chip in the sugar " is the real standout of the evening. "Lost and Found" is taking the theatre in a new and exciting direction.

A fabulous night. The seating was well thought out. The acting was so well done and the plays were entertaining. Highly recommended!

I was hoping for more comedy in the first play

 Someone else used this ticket

Loved the two acts- thought provoking and great themes. An intimate experience! Love the variety of age groups!

Both plays were very well acted and produced - the second play was the more enjoyable one. The refreshments were yummy and helped to create a pleasant relaxed atmosphere.

Loved it! Hilarious and very well presented. More please!!

Particularly was thrilled to see Jame’s included throughout the production. A great example of humanity for us all to follow

 Fabulous...funny a great night.

A funny story line. At one time, wondered if anyone in the cast would be alive at the end of the show. Guessing to the end who was the murderer.

We SO enjoyed our evening - loved the talent & expertise of all the cast members - great idea to have the half time guessing comp of who was the culprit- proof of how good the story & acting was - only one who guessed it!! Please more plays by these talented performers we will certainly support them CONGRATULATIONS everyone involved in the production 👏👏👏

 We had a wonderful night.

 Absolutely fabulous

I will be going every time the Red Door Theatre presents. Shirley Cornish
