Providence Records is Ireland's first and only record label to exclusively back artists with a Christian message in the music industry.

The idea behind Providence Records came in April 2016, when Roger Berkeley was looking for a way of combining his passion for the faith with his musical ambitions. He had already begun preproduction on his first music video, Every Time, which focused on the pro-life message through abortion regret. Following this line of thought, he reached out to others to gauge the interest.

Christians and non-Christians alike loved the idea of a record label promoting the Christian message through any type of music, and started signing up to the mailing list. In the meantime, Berkeley focused his efforts on releasing his debut single, which was now acting as a test product for what became Providence Records.

Every Time was released in October 2016, with the post-abortion support group, Women Hurt, sponsoring the music video. Within three weeks, the video had attracted 5,000 hits on YouTube; press coverage in three continents; and the launch party in Dublin's Tivoli Backstage featured a mini Praise & Worship session with songs from Matt Maher and Brenton Brown. Since the successful release, Every Time has continued to attract attention, with growing sales, streams and views, as well as airplay on several local and national radio stations, and a feature on New Catholic Generation's Christmas episode of Catholic Social Media News.

Providence Records is continuing to promote artists with the mission of spreading the Christian message through mainstream music. The label will be launching its showcases in Dublin in March 2017 (date tbc).

Showcases

Providence Records' regional showcases are an opportunity to hear the best Christian artists in their local music scene! Operating in each province in Ireland, we aim to find talent in every corner of Ireland.

Artists have the opportunity to play for Christian fans, sell their music and merch, and get paid fairly. This is also an opportunity for those looking to be signed by the label to initiate the process. Apply now to play at the next showcase near you!
