 Set up was better but entertainment was lacking.. compard to a few years ago. And then good south African style.. pay for parking with tickets and the parking wants us to pay again..2 bucks.. it's a joke.. I never paid i refused but a friend who was his first time did.. so thanks for the rip

 It was my first time going and loved every moment. I think it would be nice to have it while the kids are on school holidays like in July when the weather is a little warmer and not as wet.

 The event was lovely, I only have one problem at the sa groceries tent I bought a few things and while paying 3 times it didn't go through after i realized that their card machine is in pounds, so becoz of the €50 cap bank didn't allow the transaction, however I realized it and told him. So they need to take consideration of that and I had to make 2 40 pounds transactions so it could go through, however when I tried using my card again ptsb actually thought my card stolen

 The staff were incredibly helpful, and the food vendors, artists, and DJ were all outstanding. It was truly special to see so many South Africans come together in one place to celebrate and enjoy the event. The DJ kept the energy high—everyone was on their feet, dancing, and having an amazing time.

 the weather played a big part.

 It was so lovely to be amongst fellow South Africans and to hear the Afrikaans language spoken here in Ireland. It made me miss South Africa and all it’s beauty

 I was disappointed that the music ended at 5pm at the main stage. Even if you just streamed music off Spotify till closing time. It killed the vibe. I do understand there was music in a different section but that's awkward for us that pitched a Gazebo for the main stage.

 Had great fun. My only request would be to not hold it so late in the year. It better in June or July.

 The event was great. Would love to join in again next year.

 Really enjoyed. We camped, and packed up in the rain on Sunday morning. One can never predict the weather, but maybe an earlier time slot in the year?

 I enjoyed everything nothing to complain about

 Well organised, however disappointed that the vetkoek was sold out before 2pm given the organisers knew how many people would be attending and the event wasn't due to end for several hours. Also found it unbelievable that no pannekoek was sold which is something you would find at an SA event of any kind. Good selection of products otherwise.

 A very well organised event - so great to connect with other SAs and welcome new members . So enjoyed the DJ and the artists. Tasty home treats

 The event certainly seems to be getting better each year. The entertainment and games were super. Not sure if I missed the stall but it would be nice to have more African art and south african paraphernalia like flags, hats, bokke shirts etc. Again the african Queens I think...singing...were fab!! Tug of war was so much fun. Still felt like there could have been more bins, walked around with trash looking for bins...could be me just missing them...

 Could have had a better sound system and a nice band in the afternoon to fill in the gaps

 The vibe was underrated considering the Bokke smashed the All Blacks earlier this was something that should been cause for celebration but it was more of a soggy picnic and an opportunity to sell goods and food at an inflated rate. A no from me and anyone who asks me about it would get the same respones! Do better, regulate pricing and get better entertainment.

 The event was truly spectacular. I just wish they played a wider range of music such amapiano.

 The big screen venue could not accommodate more people. The music could have stayed on to entertain other individuals who were not watching rugby. If it becomes an annual venue the route from the parking to the function site can be paved to avoid the muddy conditions that occurred after the rains.

 Overall a great event with a variety of stalls. I would possibly suggest a larger marquee tent to allow more people to watch the rugby match and also double up as a seating area for people before the match. I might also suggest more toilet facilities for campers and even a small wash up area. I would be happy to pay a few extra euro for these facilities.

 .... took a fall on the very uneven ground through the camp site. I also found it difficult to locate a particular stall that I had pre-ordered some tasty treats from and unfortunately had forgotten my phone in the car, so when I did find them they had sold my pre orderd goods (The signage was on the table front and blocked by people at the stall). The ques for all the delicious South African foods were also very long and slow moving.

 It's always an amazing event. My family go every year.Hope next year we can camp for 2 nights instead of just 1 night. Can't wait for next year.

 Accessiblity is an issue.

 Couldn’t watch the rugby game as the tent was not only too small but the screen was so dull, we could barely see anything. Hardly any music played aside from the live band which was great. Extremely long lines for food. Underwhelming for our first time at this event.

 Amazing day out, unfortunately the weather wasn't the best this year but that did not dampen anyone's day as everyone still made the most of it, smiles all around and a bonus to have shown the SA V ireland game. Great organisation and well done to all involved.

 Went last year and enjoyed it, this year the grass was very long and very difficult to move around with a lot of stuff including wheelchairs and prams. The stalls and the music packed up far too early, people were still arriving and getting settled. We didn't get to experience anything we came there for, it was very dissapointing. I really appreciate all the effort that goes into organising such an event but unfortunately this year a lot of things were not okay

 The only downside is that we were unable to see the rugby match. The tent was so full and people were standing on top of each other to try and see the screen.

 The venue was great, the markets were varied and lovely. Unfortunately weather wasn't favourable, we left for a bit and came back around 6ish and everything was packed up, food and market stalls which was a shame. Also on the website they said not to bring anything but everyone else brought gazebos, food drink and chairs into the venue which was implied on the website that this wasn't allowed. Its a great idea and great venue but sadly the weather and ill info prevailed.

 It's always good to get together. This year though was a little disappointing in regards to the music set up not being able to be heard unless you were at the tent, likewise not being able to hear the rugby. Also annoyed at being charged the recycle fee on the red ales despite them not being a part of the recycle scheme. Despite those, the stall set up and team organisation was excellent.

 No cover. Lots of mud when it rained and the grass was too long in the car park. Could not push a pram.

 It was a nice atmosphere good crowd I wish we could have reached out to more South Africans We are Stronger Together💪🏽

 We were there for ages. Plenty to do and a lot of vendors.

 I'm glad there was a tent for the Rugby, unfortunately it was horribly undersized for the crowd and there were many groups sitting on the field gathered around ellphones watching the game as there just was nowhere near enough space for all the rugby fans to enjoy the game in the tent. The picnic Benches were a great addition and more next year would be great. Perhaps a LARGE marquee with open sides that could cater for the stage/big screen and inclement weather for 2025.

 Lovely venue! It would be ideal to have a venue with a big hall so everyone can enjoy the game., other than that it was an unforgettable day, my family had such fun, thank you to all the organizers!!

 Did prefer Kilkenny venue and most I spoke to felt the same way. I would like to thank you for organizing the event The time it must take is appreciated x

 It was great to be around fellow South Africans. Need more vendors for selling drinks such as beers, ciders etc. Queues were long. Entertainment was good but there is room for more. We thought there would be a large tent set up with some chairs and tables for those that did not bring camping chairs or picnic blankets and this is there reason we did not stay as there was no where to sit and no shade.

 If getting to the camp site isn't possible, advise in advance or have trolleys orsomething available. Also, the rugby was a disaster!

 Queues for food were super long and took almost 2hrs to get food, would be amazing if more food vendors got involved or maybe a potjie competition that the cooks can then sell off to feed the masses. Venue was awesome and conveniently located. Maybe a tent with a big screen for the rugby would be a good option for next year?

 Not wheelchair friendly, and lack of benches and tables where people could sit as the car park was a distance and carrying foldup chairs a hassle. also ordinary South African vendors with craft and baking small businesses etc. The music was great and the comedians were great.

 Nice setting. Good spread of stalls and food offering but again the queues were long for the bar especially. Some stalls also struggled with quick payments due to limted connectivity.

 A bit underwhelming to what I expected. Was a nice day out with friends but we could have done that anywhere.

 The market was really tight space wise, and there was not enough food unfortunately. Overall I had a great time.

 Very cramped stalls area with long queues. Limited stalls. Much preferred Belmont Demesne setting of previous SA day.

 Grass area hard and full of bugs. Stalls to close together so no place to move.

 The event was good but unfortunately the stalls were very few of and the queue were very long only to end up buying out of date products which was only noticed when we got home

 Camping site was very well laid out. The different music bands was amazing. Bring on 2022.

 fantanstic event - too cheap for the value provided

 Too many ques and not enough vendors...waiting an hour to get a wors roll is ridiculous. People running out of food. Some vendors had no card machine... This should be comlulsory to sell there.

 Spread the stalls out at the venue. They don't need to be squashed into one place. Venue was good. Also, more bins around the venue are needed. And more food stalls would be great. Otherwise it was great!

 Best location so far, just need more food stalls and maybe also to position the food stalls and beer tent closer to the main field where most people were. Inside stalls etc were perfect where they were. Also better toilets for the ladies.

 Event was brilliant. Beautiful location, plenty parking space, lovely picnic area. Good catering, just a little big to long queues to get food (waited over half an hour to get boerewors). Also some shops with goodies run out with their stock very quickly, so many people couldn't get South African goodies. Hope that will change in the future events. Overall we've had a great fun at SA Gathering!

 Great day out. It was my first one attending and it felt great.

 Fantastic event. Not only for South Africans but for the irish that attended too. Couldn’t have been better. In my diary for next year.

 It was a great day overall, the only suggestion I would make for the next one if at the same venue is to put the jumping castles inside where everyone is sitting. Our friends who had a young child wanted to have someone watch her while she was jumping which meant she was having to go outside to the jumping castle throughout the day and wasn’t able to spend time with us inside enjoying the music etc.

 It was very nice but was not enough food in certain stalls and also on one of the stalls they ask you to put your order for certain things and when we got there it was not kept one side and it was somehow sold by mistake or was taken from the table. .. What is the use to order and get and it is not kept..They gave us a free pack of koeksisters, But does not make what we wanted and ordered big dissapointment. That spoiled the day of the event. .Either than that not bad well organised..

 The event was great, one observation was that things for the kids to do was a bite out of the way.

 OMG!! What a jol! Good food, good vibes and great entertainment. Will defo be at the next one.

 There was not much of a variety in treats. Also those travelling by public transport were not considered as they had to walk very far from the closest bus stop to the actual event. This is something to consider as not everyone has cars as was assumed by the organisers
