I am soooooo excited to be sharing the news that we get Adham Shaikh to come to Denman and get us dancing. He is one of the best DJs, Beatmakers, and Producers in the world, and produces all of his sounds out of Nelson, BC. Adham has been part of Shambalah for years, has worked with artists like Nicodemus, Matt The Alien, Beats Antique, The Funk Hunters, Dehli to Dublin, toured all over the globe, and so much more. His sets range from world music to big bass, dub to trance, Balkan Beats, Vintage Remix, and then some. I have to say his sets have blown my mind more than anyone else in this fine country, and that is why I had to bring him to our island to test the new sound system in the front hall:)

Eliazar (Speakeasy Electro Swing/ Balkan Gypsy Party)

DJ Eliazar has been spreading his own version of music with funk and swing for over 20 years. As Co-Founder of the Speakeasy Electro Swing group of music events around the globe he pushes his own incarnation of Vintage Remix music that incorporates a fair bit of bass, world beat, dub, and so much more.. He started the Speakeasy nights in various lofts around Montreal in 2010, and once joined by Don Mescal and DJ Khalil found the team that would help spread the Vintage Remix sounds far and wide. He currently dwells on Denman Island and has been keeping folks dancing in the Comox Valley for the last 4 years.

Co Captain

Co-Captain (aka. Dylan Gale) is based on Denman Island, Canada where he wildcrafts forest plants, grows veggies and turns up the bass. As a dj he is known for getting the crowd bumpin and jumpin with his fertile blend of bass-loaded world beats and funked up percussive grooves. Bringing together a diversity of musical styles, Co-Captain blends a potent mixture of fun as he launches his happy-go-lucky energy onto the dance floor. He has been producing for a couple years now, always trying to make things that sound different than normal and are groovey. He has collaborated with his good friend Chris Fretwell, which has helped him bring funky latin influences into his music. He is perhaps best known for his Cookie Monsteresque dj face which shows itself when he is really digging it.
