This play was very well acted and presented, however I didn't love the play. It didn't develop or go anywhere. I felt various threads were set up but then left dangling. I ultimately felt dissatisfied at the conclusion of it. It was presented as a comedy in the description of it, but I felt there was not enough comedy to qualify as such.

Thank you for putting the air conditioner on after half time. Much better but almost too cold. I’ll bring a wrap next time. Once again it was disappointing to struggle to hear. My husband and I are not deaf but when actors turn to the side to speak or don’t project their voices it is very annoying to miss so many lines. We were left wondering if it is a problem with the height of the stage roof? Hiw us one supposed to hear an actor when they speak low from

What a wonderful group Theatre on Chester is...surviving Covid's attempt to kill us all in 2020 & '21, then putting together a fabulous program for 2022. The Box Office is excellent too, despite the difficulties of cancellations, rescheduling, booking changes etc, the liaison with ticket holders is patient and efficient.

How did you like the event?

Thank you for choosing a play of such challenging content, and for carrying it off so well. Carla's direction was exemplary, as always, and the acting was appropriately understated, leaving the audience nowhere to hide from the message. It was a perfect performance, made even more poignant by the struggle America now faces to distinguish 'fact from fiction' as Donald Trumps reclaims the Whitehouse.

How did you like the event?

I adored the play. It was an honour to meet the playwright after the show. She is apparently there for the final two performances and is worth attending the play for that alone. The play is beautifully written and a joy to watch. The three actors fill the story with accessible charm and find much of the nuance the brilliant playwright has created. If you are doing something interesting tonight or tomorrow cancel it. Do yourself a favour and get to the show.

How did you like the event?

A nostalgic play for the locals. Probably wouldn't travel. Well written but almost playing too much to the locals. Set worked well - car, stretcher. Use of projection and more artistic lighting could have enhanced the production. Scene changes could have been slicker. Acting competent. Guitar unnecessary and distracting. Final scene didn't quite work for me. The "revelation" was obvious from early in the play. Still an enjoyable night from a respected company.

How did you like the event?

My 3 friends and I are regular subscribers and we all thoroughly enjoyed this play last night. The musical soundtrack and the surprising inclusion of live songs evoked our memories of the 70’s including references to drinks (Dry & Dry and wines) and events around that time that we’d long parked in our own past experiences. It was lovely to chat with director Tracey after the show and as usual the best writing comes from real lived experiences even if transposed into fiction

Inspired staging, it was genius and, despite its complexity, the actors managed it beautifully. The costumes and dummies were brilliant. The script was very clever, but some of that cleverness was subsumed in the over-the-top delivery. Nevertheless, we made our way home chuckling.

Brilliant timing and choreography from the cast, excellent costuming. Lines were sometimes difficult to hear/understand from row E (apart from Wadsworth). Set was very clever but used too much at times. Perhaps the scene changes could have been reduced. Good lighting. The interminable movement/chase/choreography in the 2nd act The play seemed 'cartoon-like, pointless and repetitive. I was not involved in solving the murder/s and kept falling asleep in the first act.

How did you like the event?

We thoroughly enjoyed this whimsical, rollicking and tongue in cheek tribute to the game "Cluedo". There were many laugh out loud moments. Acting is difficult; comedy is more difficult, but the whole cast carried the comedy off superbly. The odd moment of farce - such as when the action is "rewound" - was also carried off with aplomb. For an enjoyable, light and hilarious theatre experience, this production is highly recommended.

Clue - Directed by Isaac Owen is a fast paced, madcap hilarious play. Love the stage movement, the actors do a wonderful job. The cast are all wonderful but I particularly loved the varied characters played by Cassie, Fabiola’s Yvette and Tracey’s Colonel Mustard. She/he cracks me up lol. I loved the costumes. Amazing work Isaac! What a vision for the play.

We were glad to support a local production of a local playwright. I wasn't familiar with The Peach Season prior to seeing this production and enjoyed the play and the cast.

How did you like the event?

Once again, it was very well done. However, after reading up on the plot line and a review of a production done already, I was really looking forward to it. But it didn't see to live up to my expectations. The tensions did really build up just before the interval.

How did you like the event?

Unfortunately I didn’t like The Peach Season. Just felt boring, not interesting sound effects etc. Way too much sitting on the ground by the cast and I was struggling to see them from up the back. I liked Christine’s Hungarian Grandmother portrayal though.

I just don't know how the Theatre on Chester team keep providing us with such wonderful entertainment show after show. It is a credit to the dedication of all those involved, from the cast to all those backstage and behind the scenes. Thank you so much for bringing joy into so may lives.

How did you like the event?

An interesting theme but i did not appreciate the swearing. Mostly it was not in keeping with the character's personality. In future, can we have more plays no not feature excessive bad language.

Great acting. Slow moving play and the language is unnecessary. Not thebest Chester Street play for us.

How did you like the event?

I really enjoyed the play, but found the sound in the second half was not very good. When Zoe was laying on he floor , we couldn't hear very well,.

How did you like the event?

This was the first Chester Street production which we found disappointing. The actors were excellent - no discredit to them at all. The choice of the play was the problem. It was eminently predictable, with stereotypical characters. I was hoping that the second act might offer something more, but was disappointed. There seemed to be no resolution, and I was left wondering what the point of the play was. The director's notes suggested something deeper than was delivered.

How did you like the event?

I enjoyed it and thought it well done -acted and directed, though I missed some of the Hungarian accent - I am 77 but do have hearing aids . My partner without aids heard little, he said. It is hard when sitting behind taller people . I must book in the first two rows. Do the actors have magnification?

How did you like the event?

Lovely friendly people putting on a great show for a good price and in the process offering nice refreshments. The Peach Season was excellent. I loved the performance. The reason for 3 stars is that we were in row F and the Heater / Aircon was so noisy that it made it difficult & at times impossible to hear the words being spoken on stage, especially Dorothy's which were well done in a foreign accent. The aircon was switched off after the intermission, thank you

I didn't know the storyline before, but found it so relevant to young people today. Narrating as the story progressed was excellent. Great new talent has been discovered..

How did you like the event?

It was a very thoughtful and well-acted play if a bit slow in the first half but the tempo increased in the second half. My only criticism is that the younger stars needed to project their voices more loudly to the audience as I struggled to hear some of the lines.

How did you like the event?

I had never seen "Blythe Spirit" before and knew nothing more than it was a Noel Coward play. It was a very enjoyable surprise. The acting was excellent, stagecraft also, and the ending - to one uninitiated - a surprise. The team's interval hospitality is always an added bonus to Chester Street productions. My only other comment would be that the lady who played the medium carried off her accent so well that I (perhaps only I) found her sometimes difficult to underst

How did you like the event?

Blithe Spirit directed by Cate Cunningham was really enjoyable! Loved Maddie as Eliva and Fabiola as the maid. Loved the story towards the end when we suddenly now have 2 bickering ghosts! (Btw, it took me a while to figure out what happened!) The tech crew/set build was magnificent! Lots of tech effects!

How did you like the event?

My 4 friends and I all enjoyed seeing this play. 3 of us also saw it last year, presented by the STC with Courtney Act, but this version was just as entertaining and was well-cast. I'd forgotten the play was long and I must remember to bring a cushion to sit on next time. The special effects worked well and the ending, especially when the ghosts wreck the room (reminded me of The Play that Goes Wrong and Noises Off)
