In Memory of: HORATIUS ZAMAN (482 - 566 CC)
Horatius Zaman, 84, human of New Regima, died from stoppage of the heart on the 7th day of Samhain in the year 566.
He was born in Marlow in 482 CC to Dalibor and Ammia Zaman, and apprenticed as a mason in his youth. After an exceptionally lucrative career crafting stonework for the estates of nobles, Horatius enjoyed an early retirement of traveling far and wide, collecting exotic artifacts and curios, and dabbling in dozens of new hobbies. In his later years, he became increasingly reclusive and enigmatic, seldom leaving his rowhouse on Mon Street.
Horatius was preceded in death by his parents, Dalibor and Ammia, his first wife, Roshina, his second wife, Eunomia, as well as his elder sister, Danai. He is survived by no direct heirs, but has named benefactors in his will; some are distant family members, others are old friends, loyal subordinates, passing acquaintances, or individuals who otherwise seem to have made a lasting impression on Horatius.

Claimants will be allowed to enter the rowhouse and retrieve their appointed asset(s) from the estate grounds at 6:30pm on the designated day. What to bring: A level 5 character (either 5e/5.5e) of any species, class, and gender, as well as a connection this character has with Horatius, however tenuous, that somehow merits receiving an item in his will!

Brett Morris (he/him) is an artist, actor, animator, and creative soul with a passion for telling captivating stories. Still learning as a DM, Brett is most familiar with Dungeons and Dragons 5e, 3.5e, and Pathfinder. He keeps play fast and loose, preferring “rule of cool” to keep the game flowing and empower players to make dramatic choices. With a background in acting as well as game design, Brett’s games can have engaging roleplay as well as tactical combat and challenging puzzles, depending on what kind of experience players are looking for. Expect a high-fantasy world that feels larger than the adventurers. The choices players make matter, but the world won’t wait for them to show up. As a Deaf, neurodivergent DM, Brett communicates in spoken English as well as ASL. He champions inclusivity and accessibility at his table. Everyone deserves to have magical adventures!
