Nashville native Deana Carter rose to fame with her multi-platinum debut Did I Shave My Legs for This?, led by the iconic hit “Strawberry Wine.” Blending country with retro rock and singer-songwriter flair, Carter carved her own path outside the typical Nashville mold. Daughter of legendary guitarist Fred Carter Jr., she grew up surrounded by musical greats like Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan. After honing her songwriting at Nashville’s writer’s nights, she signed with Capitol Records and made history with three consecutive #1 singles. With eight albums, including her indie release Southern Way of Life on her own Little Nugget Records, Carter’s music explores love, loss, and life. She co-wrote Kenny Chesney’s Grammy-nominated “You & Tequila,” actively advocates for artists, and continues to write, produce, act, and tour—proving she’s as impactful behind the scenes as she is on stage.
