empire of fraud and murder in the shadow of the Chicago World’s Fair. More than a century
later, a grandmotherly Sacramento landlady offered vulnerable tenants a room, a warm meal, and
a place to call home, while something far darker was taking root beneath her garden.
This Halloween season, Evidence and Spirits: Houses of Horror brings you face-to-face with
Madame Delphine LaLaurie, H. H. Holmes, and Dorothea Puente in an immersive evening
of true crime, dark history, live performance, and handcrafted cocktails. Step into their stories,
separate the evidence from the legend, and discover how three seemingly respectable people
concealed extraordinary cruelty behind perfectly ordinary doors. Come thirsty. Stay curious. And
